@@GrawrD Hey! Today I managed to land it for the first time ever! So stoked! You can imagine. Your video and advice was very very helpful. However, I was not having any progress until I decided to work backwards. I would set the board onto an axle stall, lift the nose and drop in. This way my body started getting used to the posture of the 5-0. After a while I managed to convince myself to lean further on the heel of the back foot and voila! I wish I had some time to do some more, it is not locked in yet. Now watching your FS videos…Dreaming the next trick ;-) thanks again
@@akaralis That's awesome! Such a great feeling trick. Definitely helps to break down each step and for some people, it's easier to start at the end. This trick really is all in that heel! Don't worry, I'll have a FS 5-0 video up soon enough ;)
@@akaralis Easiest way is to upload to a sharing site (streamable, onedrive, google photos) and send me a link to grawrdskate@gmail.com . Once I get it I'll add it to the end of the next video!
Hey man, kinda struggling with this one . Would you say it’s easier to just carry the pivot straight round and back into the ramp instead of stalling it? I get caught in between sometimes also you said it’s Similar the the axel stall, so I need to be at the angle/body weight position for the pivot? Many thanks
It's probably a little easier to keep spinning rather than stall but learning it that way may give you some problems later on. I've found that if you don't focus on "stalling" it, it can be difficult to shift your weight to the top of the ramp and you can get stuck in slash mode. You also need to get comfortable in the stall position if you ever want to grind them. The trick really can feel a lot like axle stall, just with a bit more pressure on your heel. When you're working on them, really focus on leaning back on your heel when you turn to get on top of the ramp. I still picture my heel pushing down every time I do them! Pay close attention to your shoulders also because if you turn them around too soon, it will be tough to hold the stall. Key to this trick is that heel pressure! Keep trying and you'll get it!
@@GrawrD cheers for the advice 👍 I got it finally 😂 it’s hard to explain but what really helped me was thinking of almost reverting my back wheel on the coping & putting pressure down on my heel. Thanks again dude!
