How to: Bubble glaze

I generally say bisque fire then glaze for any glaze technique. I find the glazes are more vivid after bisque and then firing the 2nd time.

Yes, I fire it after applying the bubbles. And it is necessary to put a clear glaze over it, if you want to use it to eat or drink. Otherwise the surface will be rough and not food safe.

Me too. I like the look of the finished products a lot! Time to buy some underglazes, I suppose.

I always use underglaze, but I've seen people using other glazes!

​@@caldervanandel Am I wrong or did you NOT show you using the clear glaze in the water, soap and blue underglaze mix? In other words, therefore, I'm not sure if or where the clear glaze comes into the process. Please advise.

@@Richannplayshop the clear glaze you put on after the bubbleglazing process, to make the piece waterproofed. It's an important step if you plan on making a functioning bowl or mug, but you can skip it altogether if you're making a sculptural piece.

I saw a video by someone with no music added and it was great . All the comments mentioned how much they appreciated no music. But to each his own and many might love it . It just made me want to switch to another video or I guess i could just turn volume off after discovering you were not providing narration . 😎
