The fact that you make your own subtitles is a HUGE deal to Deaf/HOH people and anyone with an auditory processing disorder (there are a lot of us). So much better than automatically generated subtitles, which are usually not great. Thank you for being inclusive!!!
Thank you so much for adding the captions! I am hard of hearing/partially deaf and it was very helpful to have. I just recently discovered the buff method and I love it! It's easier to sleep in besides it coming off when I sleep at times and it doesn't leave any dents in my curls. This video was very informative!
I agree with you about the Slap Cap... no likey. The Buff works on longer hair like yours. I wear them outdoors to workout to protect scalp from the sun. Only have it on about an hour and a half so it doesn’t have much time to smush my hair. Better stick with my big ole satin bonnet (so sexy 🤣). Great tutorial though, Meg 🧡
I started out wearing a Buff then switched to a satin bonnet for many years and here i am back to the buff. I like the buff because my curls stay formed longer and less frizz. But I have to do tricks when i 1st wake up to make my hair fall. But least my hair stay in place and doesn't move all around like in a bonnet.
@@ebonypainter9274 No it does not dry out my hair. My buffs are made of lycra or silk. If you are looking for silk buffs you can find them on etsy at SilkGenie. I like the silk the best because it is cooler at night i tend to get hot at night.
I tried a Buff but my hair my is so dense and coarse when I take it off it stays that position (like the Bride of Frankenstein) and I can't just shake it out. It just stays in that 45 degree angle. I've tried different refreshing techniques to no avail. What advice would you give curlies like me?
I’m afraid the same thing is going to happen to me. I have extremely kinky (nappy if we’re being honest) hair and I’m afraid I’m going to have a bride of Frankenstein vibe.
@@michelea2326 Not nappy😣 But I've been wearing the Buff for about a month now. I have one for bedtime and one for working out. They're great for preserving curly, kinky, or coily hair. Doesn't dry out my hair, and keeps my wash and go elongated throughout the week. Your hair will be mushed when waking up in the morning. I just put a little oil on my hands and fluff my hair back out. So easy. My hair type is kinky-coily.
@@rachelm.3173 honest question... why are we afraid of the word nappy? I've never felt it to be a negative word... even when someone uses it negatively or as a weapon. For some reason I've never internalized it that way and I don't know why.
I would recommend to keep the buff low so the shorter pieces of the bob don’t stand up let the hair fall after some time and sprits to re-control wonky curls if necessary.
Only if it’s natural silk, and not some nasty polyester fake silk. I’m endlessly surprised at how many people don’t know the difference, and market polyester as “real silk” (or satin). Real satin silk is the best for hair, because the glossy surface equals zero friction. Real silk that hasn’t been woven as satin still causes some friction, but nowhere near the friction caused by for example a cotton pillowcase.
@@agnessmythe3521 absolutely ! the amount of hair on my pillow case is crazy. unfortunately wrapping my hair in silk makes me sweat at night and the same with a silk bonnet. 98 % hairs found when using on top of my pillow case 👍
I order one from amazon also and it was not in the same packaging as the one Meg shows in her video. It just might be old packaging. Next time I will try the Buff site to compare.
