Hey! I was wondering if theirs a cheaper substitute for the products used in the video, that have the same effect on her hair. I was also wondering if the Malibu clarifier comes in a powder? Because that’s one of the only ones I found online. Thanks for the video!
I had my open hystorectomy 12/20/23 due to the size of my uterus with my fibroids.. not even a full 2 weeks out, and it's a day by day process.. some days I feel alright and some days I'm so tired.
I have watched so many videos about hysterectomy and yours is the first to mention the insurance aspect of things. I will check with my insurance to see if the 30 day rule applies. Your video was very informative! Thank you!
I scheduled my November hysterectomy in August, and over the phone. That is only your surgeon/hospital that had a 30-day scheduling policy. Why did you need an MRI? I didn't have that either. I'm 43 and getting a hysterectomy (cervix, uterus, tubes) in a couple weeks. I'm not having any blood work pre-surgery either?
So glad I found your vid. I am due to have a cervical Biopsy done at the end of the month. I was thinking I would get it done and just go to work. Smh thank you for putting this out here.
You know, i feel like i’m doing everything right for my hair but i just cant see the results I want 😂I have 3C-3B hair, its coarse and medium, low porosity, and ive followed everything the way i was supposed to but I just cant crack the secret code to my hair
Thank you! I'm getting mine in 2 weeks. Your last video, part one is really giving me some things to ask my doctor before the procedure. I appreciate your openness.
Thank you for sharing! I have mine scheduled April 24. I am trying to be wise from all of brave ladies that have shared their stories. Have you ever had a thyroid nodule? Yours looks swollen on the left side. I had to have mine removed last March and it was extreme. I wish you well!
Listening to this really put me at ease about my upcoming hysterectomy in two weeks time.. I’ve really been stressing about it. Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏❤️
About to get this done. Very scared but am so tired of having all these cyst and fibroid issues for so many years. May we get a one year follow up on your experience? Did you lose a lot of hair after this surgery? When we’re you able to resume sexual activity again? So many questions. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us!!
I am a month away from my partial hysterectomy and vaginal cyst removal surgery, My emotions are all over the place anticipating it. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I wish you the best. I would place peppermint oil on my chest area to help me breath in deeper when anticipation came. I hope the video helps with preparation.
October 12, 2022 When I had my full Hesterectmony and removing my ovaries as well, They placed a catheter when I was asleep doing my surgery, After my surgery when I woke up I didn't feel no pain until I tried to get out of bed to use the restroom and back into bed, and the pain really didn't hurt that bad at all and I still had catheter inside of me until they discharged me the next time which was on October 13, 2022. The survey was successfully. But I still had pain the same way when I got home and also sitting and getting up and that lasted for about 2wks and a little spoting and discharge and that even didn't last long. I did had my Cousin he came to help me out for 2mons and 2wks. I went for my 6wks check up and everything was just great my cision was healing great. Now I am doing everything but I am not lifting anything heavy or pushing anything heavy.
Thanks so much for posting this! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
I am currently 3 weeks post surgery. I am sore but I am far better than before. I had a full hysterectomy. Nothing left in. I am thankful that I did it. My last period before this procedure caused me so much pain that I fell to the floor. Honestly, I am grateful not to deal with that one again. Gas x and stool softeners were my life saver
I had a full hysterectomy including ovaries removed 10/12/22 I am 66yrs old I started back having a period on and off December 2021 when to see a OB/GYN and found out that I had 3 fibroids, polyps, thick lining on my uterus, So I just decided to go and have it done. And I am glad that I had it done. I was discharge from the hospital the next day. I did had a little pain when getting out of bed and back in, sitting the same thing and that about almost 2wks. My 6wks follow up was ok and I was heal with my incision. Do you have a problem below your stomach with a little pain when using the toliet? Because I have been having that problem. I am still not allow to lift anything heavy or push anything heavy. I am that you're ok.
I’m a few days post op for a tubal. My doctor said that I have fibroids all over my uterus, including one that is larger than my uterus. A hysterectomy is in my near future.
I am 66yrs old I start seeing my period in December 2021 until August 2022 it will last for 7 days and spot on and off. So I decided to go and see a OB/GYN I think it was doing February to see what was going on. And I had a D&C, ultrasound, biopsy, find out that I had 3 fibroids, (polyps which those was removed first), So meantime I was trying to make up mind if I wanted to get a Hesterectmony done or not at this time the OB/GYN she wanted to give me another biopsy to see if the medication was working because I also had thick lining on my uterus but I told her NO that I wasn't going to do that again because that thing really hurts the biopsy. So I told her I just will get a Full Hesterectmony and have my ovaries removed as well. So on October 12, 2022 on a Wednesday I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am to have my surgery done and it was successfully. They put a hole in my belly button and 1 hole on each side of my stomach, the largest one which was on the right side that's where I am having my pains and I only have them when trying to get in bed or to sit down and get up, coughing, laughing. Other than I am ok. It's not as bad I thought it would be. I just keep reading scriptures before my surgery and before I went to the hospital that morning. Please keep me in your prayes. Thanks for making this video. I just watched it this morning October 17, 2022.
I ll have a surgery in one months and my partner of 14 y. just left me, because i am not fun anymore being sick and him expecting that he would need to support and help me. I am scared to death how i ll manage or even survive living on my own and not having any reliable friends that could give me a hand. What is most important when you come home.... i can order food from a nearby nursing home and will not have to cook main courses, but am i going to be able to go to the grocery one week post or two, how long i am not going to be able to drive if having laparoscopid one? Please sisters do share some experience if anybody was going through this stuff alone.
Hi, thanks for sharing. Did you experience any weight loss/gain post surgery? Or any body changes? Read that your spine/back would drop considering the removal of an organ and can cause back pains or other symptoms and weight gain in mid area
Definitely weight gain!!! I’ve gained 20 lbs and having a hard time losing it. I only have upper back pain because I am constantly struggling but graduating to strengthening my shoulder blade muscles. Thanks for your comment it’s an insight I needed
I don’t understand why you couldn’t book your surgery more than 30 days out?! I’m having a total hysterectomy in 2 weeks and I was able to booked my surgery 2 months out. Thanks for all the great info!
Thanks for this video....im 40 yrs and i have been dealing with ovarian cyst. I had 2 surgeries due to ovarian cyst, the first 1 was 2018, the doctor took the cyst, last 2021 my right ovary was taken out as well...now a i have a cyst on my left ovary and its quite big...my ob-gyn advice me to have total hysterectomy this coming may 20...im planning to have 2nd opnion...im scared and afraid but i also want to get over this health issue.
It is scary. And not to be taken lightly. But also a saving grace to be out of the pain and frustrating path of having to struggle with constant growths.
I absolutely loved drinking tea with honey & lemon after! I also used a vaporizer with peppermint oil. I absolutely love peppermint oils & teas, so helpful! 💕
The absolute best decision of my life! Once you feel that pain and pressure is gone and instantly your health upgrades. How are you feeling post surgery?
Wow her hair looks amazing! From start to finish- just wow. So here's my deal, my hair has been being a very bad girl. She's low porosity, curly and no matter what product I try to use, it just sits on top of my hair. She loves to curl up in ringlets in the bottom half of my hair and almost straight waves on the top half. The last week or so, she's been super dry and no matter what I try it's not working! AHHH! Anyway, other than being a bit shorter the Before is exactly my hair. I guess I'll try clarifying it first to get all this build up off then a deep conditioner.
Yup! Low porosity hair is very sneaky and so counter intuitive, you wanna use a lot of shampoo/clarifier to let water into your hair. I've tried no-poo, low-poo or even using absurd amounts of conditioners or masks but the answer was just so simple on the other side of the coin: use lots of poo :)
The products used were a gel for styling. The technique and what I discuss was the purpose of the video. I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new
I can only imagine the tiredness you must feel. I know you’ll feel better in no time and your story will help other women just like you. I am sending you my prayers.
Maria, I feel your frustration. Sending positive energy to you 💕. I had episodes of bleeding that wouldn't stop and at the longest lasted a year. My most recent episode was a couple months with major hemorrhaging and pain. I finally said enough, I want a hysterectomy. For years I had been told my insurance wouldn't cover it unless I exhausted every other option. I finally contacted my insurance company directly and found out I could have had the surgery YEARS ago with no prior authorization needed. I'm about a week post surgery now. The surgery itself was so easy. I had a robotic laparoscopic surgery & kept my ovaries. It's such a relief to know I'll never have non-stop severe hemorrhaging again. The only regret is I didn't have it done back in 2013 when my issues started.
@@jewals-healingrose222 how are you feeling during recovery? It’s a disgrace what the medical industry does to avoid us removing the very organ that causes so much distress to our health. I’m so happy you’ll never bleed again.
@@Curlyhairalchemist I got a block that made things much easier initially as far as pain, especially since I can't take acetaminophen or ibuprofen. One of the biggest helps that I recommend all the time for anyone getting surgery or to help with pain in general is arnica. Arnica is great with swelling, bruising, and pain!
