How To BUFF SUB ZERO In Mortal Kombat 1... 

I made a video on this a few weeks ago!!! Here's what Sub absolutely needs: a.) 25-30 frame Ice Ball - so that it can combo from strings and be used in the neutral b.) 25-30 frame cooldown on Klone - so that it can still be punished on a read, but not on reaction c.) remove gaps on 122 and 21 strings - needs no explanation d.) improved damage scaling - needs no explanation I haven't yet finished the video, so you might have already said these things, but these changes will make him much better without taking him over the top like Scorpion/Ferra. EDIT: You literally listed ALL of my changes!!!!!! Hell, you were more aggressive with your changes than I was!!! A 20-frame Ice Ball would be loony!!!! I'd take it though.

Sub Zero is my best character and even I don’t know why type of character he is but I just love his moveset. One of my big problems with is sub how slow the ice ball is. And the man doesn’t have 50/50s that pretty much every character has. When Scorpion got buffed I expected Sub to get the same treatment 😭

Here’s a good buff (this is just a bug fix) I would like to give to Sub-Zero. There is an odd bug where in the gear section some of Sub’s masks either don’t change from the other versions or they don’t match the image of the mask in the mask options. This bug was added in the game when Takeda released. Hopefully NRS will fix this on Khaos Reigns’s release.

There are a hundred ways to buff sub. If they did the bare minimum and reverted his scaling back to or close to the beta, people would stop complaining. He was regularly doing like liu Kang damage. The only thing they needed to do after beta was the ice clone nerf. It used to be like 3 seconds but it was too much, every poke they clone, they'd zone you out with clone and spam projectiles, xombat and ninja complained HEAVY about it during beta and I think that's why it was nerfed. It was unfair tho cuz none of the beta could tele and the cameos in beta were mid so there was no way around it

I’ve mained sub since day one, he simply needs a faster mid (14-12 frames), a faster start up on slide, either keep the clone at a 5 (or even 6) second delay after use but make recovery close to plus or make clone delay 2-3 sec and tweak the recovery just enough to be safe. Ice punch should go full screen or make it clash with projectile again. (major one) Ice ball need to be faster and connect off normal strings, ground freeze intern can have a slower startup but have a much longer freeze. His damage scaling doesn’t even need to be tweaked much but ice dive needs the scaling toned down a lot.

as a sub zero player i agree he needs some kind of buffs, deadly vapors and changing his scaling on freeze will just bring him back to op like the beta tho. ice clones should be better somehow . should be able to special cancel/combo with ice ball and maybe make some of his strings just a bit harder to react to, in my opinion

Imo sub buffs should be: Mid from 14 to 12 frames(optional) (Mandatory)Keep clone at 5 sec cool down but buff recovery so he can block attacks after BUT can still be punished if enemy reads a clone coming and armors to hit sub before he touches the ground. Revert scaling to NEARLY where it was in beta. I would love the damage but they were not doing optimals and were still getting close to 400 or more. If ex clone cost 2 bars, make it break max 3 armor hit, it seems broken but if you are patient sub will waste 2 bars and you just gotta wait or throw projectile. If you're impatient and armor on wakeup you should be punished only because sub had to read wake up and decide to use 2 bars. Speed up ice ball. Close all 2 hit gaps, it should be like the rest of the cast. Most importantly, his back 2 needs to be special cancellable like scorps back 3. On reaction you can clone out if not hit since it take 3 and half minutes to startup. Then obviously speed up his slide. I'm fine with how fast it goes, but the start up takes too long, I wanna be able to read or see a projectile and slide under it without catching a fireball to the face. This would make him a keep away character, still not good enough to rush down BUT if you are impatient and bum rush him it will cost you. With bi han being such a bad ass I wish he could have been more aggressive but I don't think there's anything they can do

Been maining him since day 1 hearing people complain about him just because I’m better 😭😭. The amount of times the devs have baited me into thinking he’ll get buffs is crazy, I’ve suffered with him enough I’m hopping on that noob saibot train.

You gotta make a vid on Quan Chi needing buffs too: He has a 9 frame down one. ALL of his strings have gaps. His main launcher costs TWO bars of meter. He has the LOWEST health pool in the game. He doesn't have a mid that starts combos. His portal setups are very meter dependent. If you had to play in a tournament for money, would you pick Quan or Sub? Be honest.

How to buff Subzero? Turn him into a noob...

Sub was perfectly fine in the beta, yet he was the only one to receive major nerfs, even though he was arguably still the worst character in the beta. It doesn't really make much sense. Very slow iceball, BF2 amp which exist for no reason since it doesnt do anything that the regular ice clone can't, DF4 buff only being good in the corner, gaps in almost all of his strings, F12 that got nerfed to 15f and still gets low profiled. He's a mess of a charachter. He should get some major buffs on almost all that I mentioned.

Awesome breakdown the subzero supposed buffs are more of a slap in the face but we are already used to it. Sub zero needs a bar for anything but wait other players need only 1 bar to do 100 hit combos oh ya perfectly fair.
