Hiding nothing I break down a slash 4x4 8s build so you can build your own !! This is my hobby I take great pride in and if you want to go fast I'm constantly updated and upgrading to higher speeds
Thx for the info. I’m just starting the quest for speed and everyone keeps it all secret so I very much do appreciate it. Great vid packed with great info🤙
I never seen anyone use that esc I’m glad u I learned this from watching your video u got me wanting to order one u said it comes with a catpack for 130.$ thats friggen great I paid over 200 for my xlx but she’s amazing and can be tuned all the way down to the t... thanks for the info RCFL brother
Yes I'll agree , the weight acually bows them perminatly after a while and the slight flex gives me a shake on come down , aluminum or stock hard plastic seem like a good alternative
yes , the 1750kv is good for 34v or 8s as a max input , anything lower will work although I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than 4s simply because the draw is too high for lower voltage batteries and can cause the cells to go bad
thanks for your feed back . I looked at the tp motor usa Web site and it will not allow to select kv rating for the tp4070 . how did u select 1750kv and what winding did u choose ?
hey dude, I have a Slash 2wd HCG and a Slash 4x4 LCG . looking to make them into speed demons. I was wondering if you have a complete list of all the parts you have used to build your speed demon. I saw your running 8S that's beyond insane. Great video and Excellent build !!!!
Yeah I really should have included that info Nick, but they are GTR Shocks (off an Xo1) and e-revo gold Springs (traxxas) believe it or not I'm doing a trial run on oil using 125,000 weight , I'd hate to say I recommend this because I haven't had adequate run time to determine the pros /cons.
I went with rpm shock towers but im not running 8s. Just 4s. 6s is just too fast like you said, not enough room around me for over 100mph. I have a 2wd stampede all rpm mods with hobbywing max 8 system. Batteries im running pair of 2s 8000cs 100c. I hope my xt60 plugs are enough for that. Its been ok so far but I only make a few passes and let it chill out. Its 6s capable but temps are high enough on my high amp batteries 200 amps constant 4s. To be honest Its the same performance with less volts and higher amps on 4s versus 6s
question for u is your motor a tp4060 or a tp4070 as u started in ur vid it's a 1750 kv in tp4070 there is a 1700kv in tp4070 rated at 7s 30.4volts at a tp4060 1750kv at 6s 29volts iam confused with ur description in vid that u say it's 8s capable .
TPPOWERUSA will let you custom build motors and combo KV with amp/volt ratings , the 4070 is simply the style , length, venting , and such but custom windings for a specific KV of 1750 and 34v capabilities are not going to be "shelf items " Hope this answers your question
also the 1750 has more torque than say a common 2200kv , I needed the torque because my cars weight is around 13-14lbs plus it let's me optimize taller gears without the motor getting hot
I can't see what axles you are running. I thought I blew a metal traxxas axle the other day, what happened is the rubber boot tore and allowed a metal pin to fall out, disconnecting the two sides of the axle from each other. Traxxas part number #6757 rebuilds 2 axles and remedies this. I'd like to see traxxas use thicker rubber to fix the problem as my boots on all of my axles didn't last long
Yeah but when you crash everything is fucked. Not worth it. Rips everything out of the body and rpm works out fine for me with 100mph 2wd stampede and its pretty stable
When i emailed TP Power they recommended this for top Speed runs Just wanted to understand why you chose your motor instead of the one below. I just want to gather the correct information before i make a final decision. www.tppowerusa.com/motors/in-stock-new-arrival/tp-4070-cm-2200kv
The 2200 kv is a great setup as stated by TP for speed runs , I'll agree. But with any build all are unique simply because of weight and power supply variants, my are is heavy and 8s , the 2200 kv is a 6s rated motor with less torque but a perfect match for a less weighted car.
