hey colin , just wanted to say thanx for the idea , im building a 125cc mobility scooter, just received the engine , im gonna get it bored out,rejet the carb & hook up nos, change out the tires & rims with wide race cart rims & tires, Im gonna start putting it all together this summer ill post the build thanx again , stay crazy lol

You know I love the idea of doing this to my new electric wheelchair but I would need a way to switch from a joystick to a conventional scooter steering and also where to find a 50cc engine, plus to make sure its got all the proper lights and safety equipment, anyone got any ideas?

It's nice but you remodel the entire scooter. It's not a scooter any more it's a go-cart. Your suppose to still be able to run around town as what you end up with it's illegal. In town you go at turtle speed and on the highway you can open it up but it's suppose to still pass as a disabled scooter. I like the fact that it can go 60 mph but you would blow your cover if you tried that in town.

Hey what's happening my brother? so I have a three-wheel Vive mobility scooter and right now it goes so slow, that someone could probably literally walk on the side of me and jump up on me. It's 12 miles per hour, I would really like to bump it up to maybe 20- 25 could you please, you know possibly help me out givet me some advice, maybe you can do a video on how to speed up, I think it's being controlled by a speed box I would appreciate if you could maybe do a video about that, it's been so hard for me to find out how to speed up this scooter, and if you help me out I will join and subscribe to your channel just as a way of saying thank you!!

I go build one, but i will start with an old 110cc 4 stroke quad from china. Why not a scootmobile? Its expensive even when they won't do it anymore. I will make a video's greets from holland..

Wearing a tie is a nice touch, but GOD HELP YOU if it gets caught in a grinder. In fact, there is so little concern for basic safety that the video can serve as a WHAT NOT TO DO clinic. The mobility scooter IS quite rad. 👍

My main thing with this guy is that he always wears a tie. He's obviously a smart fella, I don't think working with heavy equipment like this guy does wearing a neck tie is exactly OSHA approved, if you know what i'm saying. food for thought

hi colin i have a mobility issue and looking to get a mobility scooter. however range and speed are very limited on most ive seen. going slow not such an issue but getting stuck in the middle of nowhere would be. can you help dvise if i got a scooter if it would be possible to increase range by adding more batteries without blowing soething up. and is this something i could achieve myself, say as simple as doubling btteries of same capacity and connect via leads and clips, or increasing the battery capacity and wire up as normal or would more mods be needed and more parts added to handle the new power, i dont want to blow a circuit trying myself. and remember you building this so looked your channel up. im in my 30s so not ideal and a bit embarresing to need one as it is, but im looking to go further safely without carrying extra packs rather than faster, and certainly no need for 60mph in my case. some are 4 mph some are 8mph with 12 -16 mile range. so a bit faster could be useful to get up hills etc though not too fast but range being increased would be the main goal. if you can help or offer advice that would be great

lets hope a lot of old folks will be build one of these! thus going fast should be the rules of the day for someone that has one foot on a banana peel & the other foot in the grave! ( when ya reach that age time is of the Essence ) I definitely want to build me one BUT... first I`m going to have to learn how to weld..

Very rarely do I sub after one video, but Colin you are a leg end, a complete foot! I take my tie off to you sir, then I put it back on sharpish because a good shed is a shirt and tie affair.

Mine isn't nearly as fast yet, but I did a pretty sweet little power wheels body swap - haha it's the #ministang. I'm a young dad with 6 small kids and an inoperable brain tumor so I need it to brain crowded places but who says it can't be fun?! Next up is speed but I have to stay electric as I need to be able to bring it everywhere. Anyway, I just thought you might like to know a fan who previously enjoyed this as entertainment, is now using it functionally :D

I'd race ya on my Kawasaki kx 60 I put a by cycle computer on it and the fastest I recorded was 63.4 mph

I used to have a shoprider four-by-four technically it's not a four-by-four but it had electric motor in front and back

so where did u get the shaft bar with the key thing for the wheels? the live axle idea its cool but with my 48 volt motor its not very appealing . can you please tell me how you got the wheels to lock on that axle?
