You should put a battery good enough for 2 or 1 hour on the back so that it is sorta useful, as nobody sometimes actually stretches the legs while standing.
Very good craftsmanship. Reverse the gears and you'll see a difference in performance. High speed motors require a very small front sprocket. Keep it going!!!
@@tac6044 it is, the motor can't spin freely because the gears are too tall. If you change the motor with a smaller gear it can rotate in a much higher rpm
I think it's great for kids just starting out. It's an economical way for the young too learn. Good Job.this can be scaled up for more power for adults too.

He has very good talent. This scooter was made for 6 & 7 yr olds. it's as basic as it can ever get. One day he'll be able to make one that's actually practical and useful for adults for real world riding challenges.
It will waste the the battery keeping the motor sprocket bigger tha tire reduces the pressure on motor which mean motor has to work less to get more distance
Large sprocket on rear wheel & very small sprocket on motor. Esc plus e-throttle plus homemade 18650 36volt 12 Ah battery pack with battery management system. 750 to 1000watt DC motor. Waterproof charge point. Brakes on rear wheel that cut power to motor. Reinforce the frame to front & rear. Job done.
2x 12 batteries connected to make 24v and smaller 9 tooth cog on the motor would make this much more fun, also a support where the bars join the deck as that looks like it will snap liek a twig if it hits a few potholes
You are right because the two gears or the two stars whatever they are called are large and therefore it has no force if a small star in the engine and the large one in the wheel will have more force and will be faster because it really is very slow
picture your grandma in a retirement home. picture her drinking tea and eating a sandwich. picture her getting sleepy and taking a nap. picture her wanting to go outside on her electric mobility scooter. picture her cranking it up to max speed. she's maxing it out while people are quickly walking past her. that's how fast it is lol.
Or maybe just change the gear ration becaus i have built many electric vehicles and by changing the gear ration it accelerates faster and maybe even better top speed
could i make a humble suggestion. wish you made a detachable removable battery casing, so you can change or recharge battery. A Detachble seat would seem fine/or better. over all, I love it. loveit loveit loveit. Great Skill.
No back brakes. You hit that front brake a little to hard just once and you will know the meaning of eat the pavement. Also add a variable speed control to it so you can adjust the speed.

After soldering the wires to the terminals on the battery pack how do you plan on recharging it? Why didn’t you use a motor controller out of an electric drill instead of a push button momentary switch?

That will go alot better with better gearing. Too much load is put on the motor, and it'll destroy the battery pack in no time. Smaller sprocket on motor, larger sprocket on wheel

it's just under power....slapp 36V in it at least...that motor can handle it. It looks like at lest 350- 500 Watt. My E 300 only has a 300 24V...it'll do 10-12. ( it's fast for kids..if they're not used to it). Hes' only using a 18v LI on..So its under power for that motor to begin with..He needs 2 of those packs...lol it's slow for me....i need a 1800watt brushless at least...:-P i have to use Lipo when I up grade it to 500watt. Make it do 15-18 mph There's no room for 3-ea lead acid..in the battery compartment.... definetly REAR breaks for anything over 8 mph..
@@oneeyemonster3262 no, he did not put a reduction stage on the engine, the rotation of the wheel is the same as that of the engine, so the engine cannot turn, if he puts a reduction stage it will increase the torque and it will go faster than that
@@andregustavoassing134 you lack simple comprehension of DISCHARGE RATE on Batteries. It can be confusing becuase battery Manufacture miss label them...The 24v Lion 18650 are 20-30 C rating at best. Lion cant handle HEAT very well....Dosnt perform as well as LIpo. it has about the same power is 5s 18v-22V 50C Lipo batteries. It;s hard to compare to lead acid.... but when purchasing lead acid batteries it's label as CRANKING POWER or ..NOT Ah... Ah = SIZE of Gas tank or RUN TIME Some people say if you double up on Ah such as wiring PARALLEL..it'll increase the CRANKING power or discharge rate....In PRACTICE it dosnt...it'll just get longer running time..batteries dosnt get as hot....perform better simply because of less heat... it's not the same as using batteries with double the cranking power or Higher discharge rate... Sort of like using 90 octane....vs 110 octane... when using 20c verse 25 c discharge The size of the GAS tank dosnt effect performance.
I'd say that's a fail, but you've learned something, and now you're ahead of most the commenters that are keeping the bench warm for you. Was it an underpowered motor, or the gearing?
