For Beginners who aren't used to scaping with rocks. Try to decide on how to fix the rock formation in a box or cardboard outside the tank, take a picture so you know how it should be. And now place it inside the tank with the reference.

Beautiful scape! Personally I think a nice colony of bright red cherry shrimp would be a perfect fit for it ❤ For livebearers, I’d say endlers, maybe endlers and cherry shrimp. Makes for a nice combo and some potential breeding! (One thing I feel the need to mention is that even smaller fish like neon tetras for example generally need plenty of space to move around and to be kept on large groups, so I personally like to keep/suggest only fish species that grow to an inch or less in size for a 10 gallon, with the exception of bettas of course)

Cheap fish tank: 1. Used Tank from Facebook marketplace 2. Rocks from outside as decorations 3. Sponge filter (or cheap HOB filter) 4. Rosy red and/or feeder guppy (they’re the cheapest but get whichever fish that match your water parameters) 5. Ghost shrimp (other shrimp if you want too) 6. Medication for the fish

I feel like some kind of platinum colored fish like halfbeak, rice fish, or guppies would look great if you put a lid on it. I feel like those pop way more than the colorful counter parts of those species specially if you put a black background on the tank. As a center piece fish either dragonscale or oapl betta or honey gourami. Bottom dweller pygmy corydoras is a must for this tank. kuhli loach and other smaller cory like tail spot corydoras, salt and pepper corydoras come in a close second.

The key thing not explained here is, where is the ammonia source to come from in order to feed the beneficial bacteria introduced from the Fritzzyme 7? The tank won't cycle without a food source(ammonia) for the beneficial bacteria. It won't come from fish as you stated to wait till cycle completes before adding fish.

What drives me crazy is all the videos about setting up a new planted aquarium. Does that mean you can't transition an existing tank to a planted tank? I'm a big-time gardener & I've been fishkeeping for a long time. Recently, I've been trying some new things in my tanks & I would like to try my hand at a planted tank. I'm not sure if I will enjoy combining the 2. If I like it, then I may set up a tank as recommended in this video. In the meantime, can I try it out on an existing tank with easy low-maintenance plants?
