Got a thatch hut hidden in the woods near redwoods with dodos 🦤 dilos and some crafts in the hut. I logged for 20 minutes and I come back to being dead and EVERYTHING was blown away. Like I never even set up there. I’m going to solo 😂

Excellent work, thank you! One question: why using ceilings and walls as foundations instead of using just normal foundations? Aesthetics or just to show what’s possible?
Love the build and really love the new building mechanics in ASA. Definitely an improvement on ASE. No more crazy Thatch ceilings and fence foundations just to get a snap point 😂

Seems kind of stunning to me that with all the improvements they made for ASA's building system, still no double-sided interior walls/doorframes/windowframes.

Like, your cabin with dino pin video, still, one of the most beautiful builds I've every seen. You're the best, and even the best retire, I know, but sure hope to see more!!
Beautiful, though honestly I’d love an updated version of the workshop, because it doesn’t look anything like it here on ASA. It’s probably the most balanced build between practicality and aesthetics I’ve ever seen from you.
very nice and cozy! For a base where I expect to build my crafting levels, I like to have a "Loading Area" Near my craft stations. ill put 3-4 large storage chests on a deck so I can just pull a dino up to them to get recourses into the chests without having to carry them indoors by hand.
Hey Aaron just finished this build, looks really pretty, thank you for your tutorial you are really good at explaining it slow and clear. Altough i had to improvise a little bit on the fences around the house because my terrain were not flat enough, but other than that its almost identical and really pretty! New videos like this soon with some bigger houses i hope? Want to build more. plz

I know this is the first ASA build tutorial, but for future builds I feel like having the promp come up for changing the shape slows down the video a bit more than necessary.
I agree but I can’t think of a way to speed it up I know so many people will comment saying I can’t find the railings when in actual fact they are in the quarter walls if you have any suggestions please let me know
Great tutorial but I’m having an issue no matter wot the fence support only finds diagonal snap points managed to snap first one but then won’t let me snap any more straight
So I’m building this on my server and I’m not understanding how you are getting the wooden ceilings to snap low on the ground like that mine won’t snap like that
came back to say i just sunk wood foundations down low and lined them up manually with the fence. everything in the tutorial worked fine with the foundations instead of ceilings (the quarter walls, ceilings, crop plots...)
With the rework, are you finding it harder to build creatively? ASE had a lot of glitchy tricks to layer walls, sink foundations, create extra snap points, etc.... I feel like the new system robs us of all the creative freedom, from both a pve and pvp perspective.
Yeah it’s completely different they have redesigned it so that anyone can build no need to know tricks etc but I agree with you it’s much harder to get creative as they removed a lot of the glitches etc
Did I lose track of 10 listed wooden foundations or did you just use the two and make do with ceilings and walls? I obviously use way too many of them. This was interesting to watch.
I built this about 4 days ago.... I was so happy to see this!!!! I also enjoyed your stream (first look at building) I actually tried to do a couple of your older builds with this new building platform and I must say....I now HATE FENCE POSTS!!!! I could not get them to snap hardly anywhere and couldn't get them to snap one on too of the other for a porch build. I was wondering your thoughts on this (sorry this was long) LOL

Built it according to the video, turned out almost the same, unfortunately the part with the crop plot wasn't placeable in the area I built. But apart from that o cute litlle cabin on the beach 😃
this is great and all buuuut i got very frustrated because the railings dont snap the thatch roofs as they are supposed to no matter what i do. ive tried for so long i decided to just screw it and not put them on. what im i doing wrong? ive done exactly as isntructed!

Btw amazing build I really loved it and it looks insane altho took me like 2 hrs bc i messed up one thing halfway and had to start over from scratch and it didn't help that im on survival not creative mode on my SP but it still was a great thing I never cared about my bases back in ASE but now in ASA building looks much nicer so i gave it a try and u did not let me down man again great job 👍👍👍
