A few times in this video towards the end it is suggested that we are being rushed through the appearance of the app just to get the first build underway. Three questions: 1. Is it easy to change after the fact? 2. Can I customize appearance any time after it is set up? 3. Where is the video that goes more in-depth on the appearance customization? Please link.
Graham. This video has helped tremendously. The only thing I am having trouble with is the shared secret from apple. I cant find it anywhere in my app settings on App Store Connect. Is there any setting or any reason you can think of that it wouldn't be showing?
Is there a way to put a wordpress page on the buddyboss app while keeping the buddyboss menu at the bottom? right now it opens like an in-app browser and hides it when I open a web page from our site.
23:51 there is no server key there anymore. It says: Cloud Messaging API (Legacy)Disabled If you are newly integrating messaging into your app, use the latest Firebase Cloud Messaging API (V1). If you are an existing user of Cloud Messaging API (Legacy), consider migrating to the latest Firebase Cloud Messaging API (V1). I don't know what to make of this... Is the "Sender ID" number the same thing as a server key?
Hello, To resolve this issue, you can enable the Cloud Messaging API (Legacy) in the Google Cloud platform prnt.sc/QvbSp1W_dpNn.. Please see sample screenshots below: prnt.sc/YTELTIishpbl prnt.sc/yiJuOLfBgNy1 prnt.sc/Tbivjwe0Wxol prnt.sc/EGSfxBMq_pT2 For further assistance, please create a support ticket. Thank you!
@@BuddybossWP This is not ideal because the Legacy cloud messaging is being disabled. However, the solution is simple. I opened a support ticket and they shared the link with a walkthrough. I will share that in a link below (because I suspect that links cannot be shared without behind "withheld for review" you will have to go allow the follow up comment)
I Jonathan, looking at your tickets, I can see that your builds failed because of the incorrect provisioning profile. It looks like your builds are now successful. Do let us know if you need more help. We're happy to assist!
Pls could you also show how best to set this up where the AppSite is seperate from the eCommerce site where you sell the content from? With focus especially on what plugins need to be on which site and how to sync access. Many thanks.
I think Apple is very strict about in-app purchases that's why they don't promote you redirecting your users outside your app just to buy your products. This may cause your app to be rejected and you can't publish it from the AppStore.
I setup a new build for my app, and I haven’t gotten a response back from the server in 9 hours. No error, no success. Everything is setup by the video instructions. Any advice or place to look for answers?
Hi Konrad, We don't have this on our Planned Features yet but you can submit your insight to our product board here so our product team can review it: bit.ly/BBIdeas Thank you!
As the Creative Founder of a new social (community) business, I have identified BuddyBoss as the product to use to create our social media community. Most of our end users will be viewing and uploading to the community on their phones rather than on their computers, so the mobile app is of paramount importance to us. We are just a team of two, neither of us developers nor coders, but both knowledgeable enough in WordPress webdesign. We know nothing about APIs, certificates, identifiers, and every other technical term used in your video. And neither of us uses Apple computers or phones. Watching this video was a revelation - and not of the thrilled kind. Are we going to need developers who understand the Apple store and the Google store? Developers who have developer accounts? Or is that all handled by the BuddyBoss platform? To summarize that question: In order for us to have a mobile app for our community, using BuddyBoss, and to submit the app to Apple and Google, are we going to need technical guys on our team or is that already taken care of by BuddyBoss so that we don't need to do any of the app store technical stuff? Thanks.

Hi i am having a problem when i am running the app i am only able to see the launch screen. App is not moving to home screen. How can i debug or what should be the problem with that.
Hi, you may check this link to learn how to set up your development environment and merge custom code into your BuddyBoss App: www.buddyboss.com/resources/dev-docs/app-development/app-development-environment/
Have you tried checking it on App Store Connect, under In-App purchases, you'll see Manage? prnt.sc/6NFsTOWZb1X7 Or go to Subscription Section - prnt.sc/wryH02YVZf2T If you are still having troubles, please create a support ticket so our team can assist you.
Hi Konrad, some of the steps shown in the video would still be fulfilled by yourself, the difference between those who have the Done for you Service is that our team will handle the process of creating, customizing, and preparing your mobile app. This includes 1) Branding- we design a custom app icon, a launch/splash screen and a login screen for your mobile app. 2) Implementation- we create, configure, and prepare your new mobile app for publishing. 3) Marketing Design- we create the graphics you need to market your new app in the app stores. You can check this link for more details www.buddyboss.com/done-for-you/app/
Hello, I want to use the buddyboss app but I have a question, can users/members buy online classes through the buddyboss app? or the purchase process must all go through the website, btw I use the buddyboss theme, learndash and woocommerce
Hi Almujab, yes you can sell your courses on the app, you can watch a complete video of it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nNHLVOy3wDg.html
@@BuddybossWP yes, I watched it before I went to this video. in the video it uses a membership, what if I don't want to use a membership? as an example, the flow is all the same as in the buddyboss web theme, the user login - the user chooses a course - then buys via the payment getaway that I have prepared,
HIi I am bit confused: I saw on your website that you offer monthly subscription plans for the app. If the app can be done in les than 1 hour, why do I have to be subscribed? Is it to keep it working, so if I stop the subscription then the app stops working? Or is it because of licencing issues with Google and Apple store? Pls let me know :)
Hi Stefan, your BuddyBoss App subscription comes with a product license that gives you access to new product updates and 24/7 customer support via our support desk. When you cancel your subscription, your mobile app will stop working. You can check our Licenses & Subscriptions page to learn more: www.buddyboss.com/licenses/
Hi Idan, the BuddyBoss Platform is free which you can download here: www.buddyboss.com/platform/ however for the BuddyBoss App, you can check the pricing here: www.buddyboss.com/mobile-app/
Thanks for the Ferdy! I enjoyed it.. But i have a question to ask! building a large social website, is it better to use coding or drag and drop.. I was told that drag and drop crashes if too many people get into the site at the same time. please i need to know if this is true. building a large social website, is it better to use coding or drag and drop. does drag and drop crash ?
A website will always be better if it was purely coded but it's gonna cost you a lot to maintain it. I think crashing sites because of too many people is mainly a hosting issue not on how it was built.
I did everything step by step and then when I try to generate a KeyStore in the Android Settings, the load icon just keeps spinning. So I tried to delete everything in my Google account and start over and it's still doing the same thing.
Hi, Can you please submit a support ticket? This is the type of issue that requires us to log in to your site and investigate further as it is not a known issue. bit.ly/BBHelpMe
Hi Nika, Yes you can however to set proper expectation that not all web pages especially if its generated by a 3rd party plugin will display in the app native screen, although you can utilize the web fallback if your existing web pages will not show natively in the app.
Audio/video calling is not yet supported in the BuddyBoss App, as we’re not passing any of these through the app libraries. This feature is definitely a good addition to our product. You may now share your ideas and feedback to help us build features that deliver maximum value to your BuddyBoss powered website. www.buddyboss.com/roadmap/
@@yaraa9003 the BuddyBoss App has native functionality for community and eLearning features. But you can also use web fallback functionality to add other feature s or build your own. Hey Tana; the app is uploaded on your own developer accounts, any revenue produced either through the sale of the app, or in-app purchases is entirely yours.
