Learn how to build your own custom center console for your car or truck, in Episode 4 of Project Police Interceptor. Just like in my pickup truck, this Ford Crown Victoria did not come with a center console so I am going to build a custom console that has a storage compartment, arm rest, rocker switches for any accessories you want to run. I am also going to put a USB charging port so you can charge your cell phone. The best part about this build is that once you learn how to build a center console, you can design yours any way you want, and you are only limited by your imagination!

if u use a bit smaller drillbit after you use the small one and just making a hole thats as big as the screw-head you will get it flush with the wood and ti will be less of a cheap look ;) allways smart to do :)

That editing showing multiple drilling moments at the same time was brilliant! I'm thinking brilliantly difficult as well. I can't wait to make a center console myself. I pulled my old one for a repair and I couldn't make myself put it back because it didn't suit my needs at all. Three points Veteran Scars Haven't been able to get it taken to a mechanic, but assuming lower intake manifold gasket is bad. It literally pours coolant out the back of the engine(V6 FWD). While trying to find the leak, the thermostat also got stuck. Those problems mixed with a bad CV axle, bad wheel bearing, no AC, and the transmission likely going soon makes it just not worth repairing when I could put the thousands of dollars I'll spend over the next couple months into a car that doesn't have 220k miles.

There is a counter sink attachment that slides over a drill bit so when you make your pilot holes it tapers the end and your screws will always be flush. They are also adjustable on the bit so it doubles as a depth gauge, highly recommended.
