8:17 Read the ability for Wulfen Dreads again. It allows them to do mortals every time they are SELECTED to fight. You add +2 to the rolled D6 if a charge was made!!

As veteran SW player i would like to drop a little of my experience here. -I know its tempting to use TW cavalry spam... but in this detachment... simple doesnt work. You lose so mucho movility via stratagems and adv/chrg is only avaible for 1 unit... Works really nice in MSU stile and Cannis really shine leading one small unit. - Captain and black death are bestys forever... Yes, i know a wolf lord y cavalry with hammer sounds really nice but hear me out! Captains can lead assault intercessor (so may reroll for wounding) And his special rule grants him devastating wounds and +3 attacks!!! The damage output is brutal. For me, 2 units of assault intercessors are mandatory, one for Ragnar and another for this guy. (they can be transported for easy delivery to battle.) -DONT FORGET that you can spend 1CP for Saga of magesty in one unit. Really useful for stealing objetics and make wulfen and wolves OC1... so they can take points and do misions. -Logan on foot is manadatory, leave him on point or Deepstrike for misions, but his rule is too good for not being included. -Play MSU, arent very though but enemy need to focus on them for wipe out an entire unit (specially Wulfen). In the other side our boys hit way hard for the cost, Jump packs for example, are 16A from saws and 3A fist, add sustained, maybe lethals, some MW on charge, reroll to hit (via oaths, via Logan) and potential for lance/ap. The damage output is obscene for a 80 point unit.

I disagree. The Wolf Gaurd Battle Leader can give an entire Thunderwolf Cavalry Unit lethal hits and be run in the same unit as a captain or Chapter Master. If you run it alongside a Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf, it'll give the unit a plus one to advance and charge and can use a strategem for free. If you start with Saga of the Warrior Born, you have a unit that starts with both Lethal and Sustained Hits, has plus one on advance and charge, and can advance and charge. That's a potential threat range of 30 inches, while delivering a stupid amount of hits and wounds.

​@@theexistentialnihilist2070 Every wolf player knows that. The point is, in this detachament you only adv and charge with 1 unit (not the whole army). No strats for extra long charges, you have to go arround ruins if enemy guard the inch with walls, the lethals from lut doesnt overlap with detach rule and the Full TW Cav unit with 2 character costs 400 pts. Thats a lot. There are many problems with movility and the TW, sometimes you will charge but only engage with 2 models, (and 1 character maybe out), sometimes you lose models because coherency (this units base is so big that the cant form a line without breaking coherency). And your estimated charge is very... optimistic. units move 10 adv+1(3/4) charge+1 (8) = most of the time you will get 21/22 inches (sometimes more, sometimes less, and again without crossing ruins) Is a decent threath but only for 1 unit. If more TW are included they charge is reduced by 4/5 inches... This is the main reason for spaming this unit in Stromlance.

Are you running the CAPTAIN with Black Death with the Jump pack Intersessors or just regular Assault Intersessors ? Thoughts on running the Chaplain with them ?

@@coryash3932 Regular assault intercessors in transport if possible. Rerolling for wound is brutal.

1) you cannot give majesty to wulfen since they are not led by a charachter. you may on fenrisians if you give up assassinate easy with a cyberwolf. 2) captain with black death makes an average of 8 wounds to a tank, the assault intercessors do an average of 2 wounds. meaning on average they kill zero tanks in a turn. and then they horribly die.

inceptors are very unreliable as anti tank, even with oath and twin link, even in a 6men squad. they cannot seriously be in this list. Dreadnaughts with only 5 attacks are also a joke. Lancers crumble vs invulnerable saves. For a detachment with zero synergies with shooting, the only way to kill tanks is go to get them.

on a second tough. maybe 3 units of 3 plasma inceptors could make the work. still, it's 390 points..

Great video. I like to play with 24 cavalries and stormlance is not so effective as SW detachment, that gives more play for this chapter.

@@vfminiatures as my collection is old (been playing spacewolves since 2nd edition). I'm thinking of running a champion sof russ list with bjorn, harald deathwolf, wolf guard battle leader on Thunderwolf (with black death thunderhammer), ragnar, ulrik then for troops 10 wolf guard with shields for ulrik and a rhino, 5 wolf guard with shield for ragnar with a razor back, 10 wilfen, 6 thunderwolves, 2 predator destructors, 1 predator anniolator, 1x5 man infiltrators pack, 1 x 5 man scout squad, and 1 x 5 man assault intercessors with jump packs. Might try rapid ingress the razor back with ragnar squad to try and get at the enemy home objective. Or might switch out bjorn for murder fang to do the rapid ingress thing and use a strat to give him 1 OC and the other strat to murder move 6 inches after a combat to get into another combat and trigger him to fight again after he's attacked.... (undecided).
