Despite not washing the sand, waiting for the environment to settle before adding fish and no filter/osygen system, the end result was fantastic. I love the pot too, congratulations.

As an Indian man, I find it upsetting to see his disrespect towards animal life. He threw in the fish and snails like they were rubbish. In India we respect animal life and I wish you would too.

Go to your local hardware store....Rona, Home Depot or Lowes and buy the concrete already premix

Don't use concrete as the lime in it slowly dissolves into the water and turns it acidic, hurting both plants and fish

I use construction soil, plaster sand. They are easy to create mud when combined with lotus or water lily

You can scoop out the water from the pot. You can also drill a hole to attach a faucet near the top of the basin, when the water is full they will run out of the faucet itself, making sure to attach a net so the fish cannot come out.
