I found a right crank case on E-Bay for $49 and brought the '90 RM-250 back to life after 10 years of sitting! She is an old Desert sled with a 4 gallon tank, Fatty and Ohlins shock!

Hey Charles good video you explain with good detail 👍I got a1990 rm250 for restoration probably this winter this bike does not need engine rebuild those engine plugs are great works good was looking for stuff like that thanks for tip🤙

My 1989 RM 250,..... that looked exactly like that bike,.... was stolen off the back of my motorhome while I was surfing in Del Mar in 1992. My gut tells me that is MY BIKE!!!!

Amazing 🤩 maybe is time for a new OHLINS on the rear shock , on the front fork I found out that on my 1992 250 rm the 2007 rm front triple three clamp fit perfectly! Love your channel specially all the knowledge you keep sharing on this channel god bless you

I’m restoring a 1995 kx 250 bought for 1500 last year I ride every weekend so far I have new brake line new clutch cable new kick start shaft new clutch basket and new clutches and a new big bore kit

So after vapor blasting the hubs what's next? Do they get Ceracoated?

It could be done, but I leave them raw aluminum same as they were before. This bike won't get rid of a ton I'm sure when it's done, but for bikes that would get ridden a lot... I believe it is easier to simply re-vapor blast then try and remove a ceramic coating that has become hazy from riding abuse. A stripping media tough enough to pull that stuff off would also dull the aluminum part to a point where the same shine may not be able to be achieved if Vapor blasted again. No wrong answers.

I'm concerned. So if I'm seeing correctly, youre making the engine look incredibly new, restored, rebuilt, without doing anything inside. No crank check, gearbox check, and passing this off as rebuilt. What am i missing?
