In this video I make a home-made tool to hold the inner cartridge in my forks on a 06 KDX 200. This will allow you to get the bottom plug out of the fork without having to use an impact wrench or other methods and will allow you to put it back in at the proper torque value. Most KDX forks are built this way, but there are a few that are not. Most notably, the 93-94 forks are upside down forks and are totally different. Some years have a different size as well, but I do not know what years this applies to. I mention this in the video. I hope this tool helps you with your forks and the idea may work on many other types of forks with some changes to the design. I will be using this tool on my forks in an upcoming video where I rebuild the front forks on my bike.
