In this video you will see how I build a Japanese style covered gate from start to finish. You can find the tools I used here : samuraicarpenter.com/japanese-... Website: samuraicarpenter.com
My Dad and I worked along side an Amish crew building the Liberty Barn Church, in Powell, Ohio. The Amish did all the timber framing while we did the finish work. The Josey Miller, Master Barn Builder, would more than approve of your work.
I like the way you use the router to eliminate the need for a birds mouth cut! cool, leaves no room for a off cut, makes it look so professional! now I have to make a jig like that too, thanks for that extremely valuable tip
The craftsmanship of you're work is so impeccable and freaking awesome, I've learned some good stuff watching you're videos, keep up the good work samurai!
Amazing work samurai! The skill and patients it takes to make joints of that size, and precision is just impressive- I don't think most folks realize how hard that is to do. Awesome as always! Thanks!
wonderful job. Don't let the trolls get you down. Just because you were given some free Makita tools doesn't mean you are going to become an infomercial. i have always appreciated that you seem honest and unbiased in you performance reviews of the tools you use. looking forward to the gate video.
LOVE IT! You are precious! I'm not going to be building that sucker anytime soon but I sure loved watching you do it. Now, back to searching SIMPLE ARBOR & GATE!
I love these project videos. Really different to the other wood working guys on YT. Definitely inspires me to think bigger with my own projects. Keep it up man.
Ya samurai, due to your other saw review I just got the 9 1/2 gyukucho saw you recommended this Christmas. Thanks for recommending it. It helps my amateur woodworking become... Less amateur like!
I like the voice off commentary you have used, like Diresta. It's clear of background noise and maybe longer to edit, I don't know, but the result is a joy to watch and listen to.
