I was interested in this game because of the puzzles that appear in the Facebook promos. I was hoping this would be a puzzle game. Are there actually any puzzles in the game, and if so where?
Same. But when I was playing it on my gif phone she got a puzzle in the tutorial but I didn't. She has a Samsung Galaxy s7 and I have the s8...not sure why her is different gameplay. Still a fun game, bit grindy and pay to win tho
Pretty sure the Puzzles were just a bait and have nothing to do with the actual game. I've played until lvl 42 so far, afaik the only thing left to unlock is Grand Arena which is just the regular Arena with 3 teams instead of 1.. so.. no puzzles to be found anywhere.
Sorry to say, but this video is seriously just so bad. Nothing wrong with the steps, but the way you assessed everything is just wrong or ignorant. For starters, when you talk about Ginger, you're not using maxed out Ginger. Maxed out Ginger has 227660 HP, 14111 Magic Defense (surpassing her Armor) and 8936 crit hit chance, and then you wrongly judged what Ginger's weaknesses are. Yes, she has no Armor Penetration, but she has no issues with HP, armor or magic defense. Her Armor of 13661 coupled with her Magic Defense are really decent defensive stats and Ginger really has no issues surviving hits from both sides. It's a different topic when you factor in heroes with Penetration abilities, but there's really nothing you can do against that kind of hero without using a specialized hero that can counter Penetration. Her HP is borderline average, but it's not the worst thing in the game, it's not like she fights at the frontlines anyways, so not many threats even reach her at first. As far as supports go, only Dorian is the appropriate hero for supporting Ginger, as more times than not, Ginger and Dorian are positioned at nearby tiles to each other, letting Dorian affect Ginger with his vampirism aura. Doing so not only gives Ginger basically permanent cleric ability for the whole fight, but it lets you utilize a far more useful support hero for a physical based offense, as Dorian boosts physical attack with his weapon artifact, which is far more useful than anything Thea or Maya or Celeste have. As far as tanks go, you wrongly addressed some tanks. Galahad is not a high armor hero, he is a damage dealing tank, which is further cemented by the fact he boosts physical damage of the entire team, and Aurora is not "high magic defense" hero, since she has only pitiful 5224 Magic Defense at max stats, she's a dodge tank hero. Lastly, Jorgen is not a "defense" hero, he is a control/support hero whose abilities revolve around manipulating enemy heroes' energy bars and ignoring frontlines with Leper skill.
smaragdchaos hi, looks like you know what you talking about. I want to ask you if you think my party is well balanced: Astaroth, Ishmael, Darkstar, Thea and Helios. Is that good or I can improve it with someone else?
@@paperodelgiappone Thanks for asking. I'll give you my honest opinion about all of the heroes you're using. Astaroth - Contrary to popular beliefs, he's actually a really good tank. His HP is a bit on the low side, however his armor is superb thanks to his Barbarian skin, which offsets this characteristic, and his magic defense is good enough to survive quite a few hits against less notorious mages like Kai. His revival ability is also tremendously useful in Campaign, where Astaroth can revive multiple times throughout a mission. Ishmael - Time for one cold hard truth: Ishmael sucks, plain and simple. Ishmael used to be bread and butter of many teams, because not only can Ishmael still to this day solo Tower like nothing, he's also a really solid pick for the Vadjar battle in Outland. As far as PvP goes, Ishmael is unusable on his own. Why is that is quite simple. Ishmael's situation started to look very grim with the introduction of Astaroth's Barbarian skin, which increases Armor, because from there on, Nexters took the liberty and slapped Armor boosting skins on a few heroes that have enormous Armor values (Luther, Marcus). To rub even more salt in the wound, the transition from lvl 120 cap and orange +4 heroes to lvl 130 cap and red +2 heroes is very very unkind for warriors (and other physical damage dealers, except a select few) and rather friendly towards tanks and mages (I'm honestly not even surprised here, this game loves mages too much). To put it into perspective, Ishmael at maximum stats has 24430 Armor Penetration, Light armored tanks like Cleaver have 25369 Armor and Ziri has 27467 Armor. Cleaver reduces almost 25% of Ishmael's damage, Ziri reduces over 50% damage taken. High armored tanks like Astaroth and Luther take less than 20% of Ishmael's damage. With Ishmael's 69350 damage, he's basically doing nothing after all the damage reductions, especially considering how tanks have at the bare minimum 700k HP and nearly 1 million at the maximum. If you still wish to use Ishmael, consider using team mates that would fix Ishmael's crippling weakness of low Armor Penetration, such as Elmir or Qing Mao (Qing Mao especially forms a good team with Ishmael due to her control abilities and purple skill). Dark Star - A good, underrated hero, props for picking her. At high levels, Dark Star is a good damage dealer due to her purple skill gradually rising in power as she levels up, and her ultimate ability is very good at neutralizing certain enemies. Thea - Honestly, Thea sucks as a healer. Her only strong point is her purple skill that lets your allies attack faster when their HP is low, but that's about it. Her silence can be useful too, but there are heroes that handle silence better. If you want an actual healer, get Dorian or Maya. Helios - On his own, Helios' only utility is his blue skill that is capable of absorbing a significant amount of physical damage, he lacks damage due to no magic penetration. If you pair Helios with Orion, Helios will turn into a formidable damage dealer since his single weakness is automatically fixed with Orion's weapon artifact that he's capable of keeping constantly in effect. Beware of Cornelius though, he will want to eat you alive. Best way to avoid being targetted by Cornelius is to use either Krista (as long as she has higher intelligence that is, she takes almost no damage from monolith of knowledge thanks to her purple skill, but if you want to use Krista, please pair her up with Lars. Their power is incomplete if they fight on their own.) or Ziri (her ultimate skill aggroes the entire enemy team and increases team's Armor thanks to her weapon artifact. That means she redirects Cornelius' Monolith of Knowledge and neutralizes it harmlessly). PS: I don't recommend building mixed teams, as they're too scattered and their artifacts do not match. Building combos is much more effective way to play this game. A good combo will destroy a team with much greater power level than yours. A good combo of equal power level as your enemy can also virtually harmlessly neutralize the enemy team. Feel free to ask what kind of combo do you want to build. Also I recommend building on Jorgen, he really does make your life much easier. Even his supposed counter Satori is kinda useless against Jorgen.
smaragdchaos thank you! I’m still around level 65 and haven’t unlocked every hero yet, so i tried to build a balanced team using heroes with more stars. I thought a good team had to have every role covered: tank, fighter, healer support, mage/sniper, but seems i was wrong. Can you suggest some combos i can build a party around? Here are the heroes i’ve unlocked: Ishmael, Dark Star, Helios, Qing Mao, Satori, Astaroth, Thea, Artemis, Mojo, Celeste, Nebula, Arachne, Aurora, Galahad, Orion, Phobos, Fox, Daredevil, Faceless, Lilith, Heidi, Keira, Dorian, Ginger, Lars, Astrid&Lucas, Krista, Dante, Maya, Peppy, Cornelius. Last question:when you write that you dont recommend to build mixed teams you mean it’s better to have a full melee, distance or mage party?
@@paperodelgiappone No, not something that extreme. When I'm talking about combos, I'm talking about full physical or full magical teams. That means it's fine to include melees and ranged in a full physical team, or mages and supports in a full mage team, it all comes down to how well do their weapon artifacts and abilities complement each other, and sadly, a team that tries to cover everything actually sucks like 95% of the time. You know what they say, jack of all trades, master of none. Well, you kinda lack the more useful heroes like Jorgen, so it will be a bit difficult building a team, but I'll give you a sample. Try using this team: Galahad-Ishmael-Qing Mao-Dark Star-Dorian. Justification of this team is: Galahad - Galahad's rebalance has given him a new niche, which is the ability to knock back the opposing tank to gain grounds and protect his team in case he gets thrown back by someone like enemy Ziri for example. He also does significantly more damage than before and his Weapon Artifact increases the Physical Attack of the entire team, which will help pretty much everybody in this team. Remember to purchase and raise his Romantic skin however, as the recent rebalance also sneakily robbed Galahad of a bit of Armor he used to have before. If Galahad doesn't cut it out for you, you may attempt to use Aurora or go back to using Astaroth, but their synergy with this team is much weaker than Galahad's. Galahad is also one of the few heroes that have Vampirism stat through items (the only other 2 people that use Vampirism boosting items to this date are Arachne and Cleaver). Ishmael - Ishmael will be the hardest hitting damage dealer and wallbreaker in this team. I know I said that Ishmael sucks at high level PvP, however you won't be able to ditch him for a long time due to the fact Ishmael is easily the most efficient and effective hero in the tower. The only way you could ditch Ishmael is if you actually spend money on this game and keep your less practical heroes up to date. Prepare to treat Ishmael as a bit of snowflake though, because he's far too close to the frontlines and thus faces the dangers of dying the most. Use Qing Mao and Galahad to protect him. His Weapon artifact boosts Critical Hit of the entire team, which is the rarest effect in the whole game, as otherwise the only other wielder of that boost is Jhu. You don't have to worry about Ishmael losing health, since Ishmael can get his HP back through his blue ability which gives him and increases his vampirism, but just make sure to save him by using Qing Mao in case it looks really bad. Qing Mao - She boasts very useful control abilities. Her first skill is a knock back skill which is very useful when protecting Ishmael, and happens to easily decimate one Ishmael's very recent counter - Astrid and Lucas. When you use Qing Mao's ultimate when Astrid's dog enters his beast form, she will quite easily and effortlessly beat him and the dog will revert back to his normal form in no time. Her blind ability also helps Ishmael dodge hits, since it works the same way as Ishmael's mirage ability that lets him dodge all attacks (both skills have the same duration too in fact). Her Purple skill and weapon artifact are what is the most helpful to the team, though. The purple skill lets Qing Mao support the whole team by reducing Armor of the highest armored opponents and lets absolutely everyone do more damage, her weapon artifact works in a similar fashion in the way how it boosts Armor Penetration of the whole team (this effect also happens to be the 2nd rarest effect in the game after Critical Hit boost, as the only other wielders of such effect are Elmir and Fox, and Fox is not a particularly viable hero). Qing Mao's blue skill is also very useful in PvE against things like Vadjar. Qing Mao lacks reliable recovery, but she has very high dodge rate that is in fact even greater than Aurora's, so she can survive for a long enough time even without cleric support. Dark Star - She doesn't shine that much at lower levels, but as she grows in levels, her damage dealing ability grows much stronger, thanks to the gradual improvement of her purple ability, which lets her deal damage to the main tank while simultaneously chipping away at opponent's other and less defensive party members. Her main perk comes from her ultimate ability being able to dismantle 2 backline heroes for a short amount of time and prevents them from gathering energy, which is very useful when you're trying to get past combos like Lars and Krista. Her Weapon Artifact boosts Physical attack also, which helps your team do more damage. Her control abilities like slowing and making an enemy fight for you are very gimmicky and niche abilities, as most of the time you will control the tank that does crap damage and slowing is not useful for the reason you don't move that much in the battle. In this lineup, Dark Star is also rather invincible because of Dorian's purple skill affecting her, and with that, Dark Star is basically nearly impossible to kill, since she doesn't usually let her opponents reach her that easily and she does a decent amount of damage, especially so thanks to her purple skill. Dorian - He's the main cleric of this team. His purple ability allows for Dark Star to be safe (even after his death, unless Dark Star moves too far away from him) and grants Dorian with some form of recovery, which also thankfully stacks with his blue ability that also restores his health and does a bit of chip. Dorian can also provide with a very powerful heal in his green ability that could be used to restore Qing Mao's health, since she's that one single hero that has no recovery (as Ishmael and Galahad have innate vampirism and Dark Star with Dorian have an inbattle vampirism due to his purple ability). His Ultimate skill is great at restoring your health too, but you won't be able to use it much unless you're in a serious PvP against someone very good. In PvE, most of the time the ultimate will disappear very easily, because it affects only one single opponent and if he dies, that effect will immediately disappear too (so its best use is to use it against a very bulky opponent like enemy tank, Jhu or Jorgen). Dorian's Weapon Artifact also boosts Physical attack of the entire team, which, like I said before, helps this team dish out damage better. As far as his soulstones go, you don't have to worry too much about not getting Dorian's soulstones, as they will be available for you in the future eventually and that you don't need them necessarily. You can patch up his unevolved weaknesses by leveling his glyphs, getting his romantic skin etc etc and Dorian will be perfectly usable. In fact, the difference between maxed 2 star Dorian and maxed absolute star Dorian is like 10% in stats at most, and most of the time, it's Dorian's vampirism effect that you need, which works even after Dorian's death, so you're not going to automatically lose that one time when you face enemy Cornelius that will want to eat Dorian alive (and don't worry, Dorian can also stand up to Cornelius under the right circumstances as one of the few mages there are).
@@smaragdchaos you kinda right about one thing satori doesnt do much to Jorgen but he sure destroy his teammate that receve that energy and physical shield. Agree with everything else you said tho.
