As one of your female viewers, I certainly wouldn’t consider you sexist. I’m a landscaper by profession so love the vast majority of your videos. I don’t have to agree with everything you believe, However there’s allot more that connects us than divides us. No one should be persecuted for their views unless the way they act on those views brings harm to others.

Cody, Couldn’t agree with you more. Four years into our marriage, my beloved was stricken by a mental illness, leaving me with earning a living, alongside bringing up three small kids. Fortunately, she recovered sufficiently to be released from hospital. It was my wife that taught my kids the basics, she taught them all how to swim, how to look after themselves. She taught them how to read and write, in all respects I went daily out to work knowing that she could not only look after herself, she could and did look after my three kids. I lost her last year after fifty three years of love and companionship. Look after yourself, and the same for Mrs. W.

Momma kitty better watch her toes! That was a cool shot when you were using that little Japanese pull saw, the reflection of the board on the saw made the saw look transparent, it almost looked like you could see the board through the saw!

Cody there is no"getting back to normal." Take it from a 76 year young at heart, I can do anything myself. youngster. By the way I am also an amputee. Left, below knee. there is more and more of us out here each year. Accident took my leg also. What I learned early on, (I just passed 8 yeas) is there is no getting back to any normal. Each and every moment of each and every day is a new story a new way of seeing life and living life. One must accept what we are handed. You are blessed with an amazing surgen. But he can not put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Youw will learn to do things differently and accept the things you can change. May God grant you the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can and the wisdom to know the difference. I repeat the Serenity Prayer everyday. Cody, just something to note about the potential hip replacement - I have a friend close to your age who had to have a hip replacement, and outside of the obvious recovery/rehab/etc he says the prosthetic feels better than his original. If you are forced to go down that route, it may not be as horrible as you imagine.

DME guy here, try bringing that hand hold up on the crutch? Might be a little more controllable with more bend in the elbow. Happy and safe and quick recovery brother!

My cats were like that too. If they had thumbs I would have taught them to hold a tool and help out. Always wanting to be involved.

Your ballerina skills came in handy planing on one foot! You know you're square when the reflection on your saw blade fits perfectly with the board.

A gun? In the workshop? Watching videos from around the world, it can come as a surprise to see what people in foreign countries view as normal practice. I guess that's the beauty of RU-vid. It exposes you to other cultures and ways of doing things that you'd never normally think about.

I’m only34 years old and I’m a stay at home dad due to medical reasons and my wife is the primary breadwinner for my family. It’s 2022 there’s no shame in being married to a strong women that can do what needs to be done to keep the bills paid and the kids fed ✌️

That's great news at 11:48 , glad to see you getting around better ! I see the fire still burning in the wood stove . It's turned summer time in south Indiana , had 85 F degree temps all week . How are the temps in your area , cool 30 something mornings and maybe 70 F in the afternoon ?

I broke my hip when I was a small child...being John Wayne and jumping out of a rolling grain truck. (I wanted to jump out of a train, but I had to improvise), I spent weeks in the hospital and wore a body cast for a winter. That sucked.

It's so fun to see you with that cat. I just got a super awesome cat by accident. It showed up and stays around. He's outside every day but comes back to me to get his pettings and give some love. The nicest animal ever. Although very demanding, just like yours.. ;)

Cody, sorry to hear about your injury, Young Man I could have told you that’s not a good thing to do I broke my right femur in 2014 walking across my driveway. I hit a sheet of ice next thing I am laying on my back with my right foot touching my right shoulder yes you can do that if the knee replacement they put in pulls out of the femur end cracking up the femur with the most pain I have ever felt in my life ! By Gods grace I have healed and can get all kind of attention going threw the Airport security station, it has healed. I had a outstanding Doctor working on me and within 4 months was ready to go ice skating , not really I am never ready for that. Oh I did have a lose bolt to loosen up and they had to remove it, out patient stuff, my wife loved it and kept it to show I had a lose screw. Oh I had bilateral knee replacement 7 years before and when I fell it pulled the hardware out of the femur but it didn’t hurt the knee hardware so the put it back. God Bless Cody heal soon our prayers are with you and family !

Momma kitty says but Dad I’m helping and I could go for a whisker trim. And Dad your whole world revolves around me getting all the pets and all the treats, kibble and whatever I catch or rub against is mine.

Cody, do you find that your right leg is hurting because of the added stress on it? I had a bone graft taken off my hip years ago to put on my broken clavicle. That bone graft hurt way worse and way longer than my clavicle ever did. Hobbling around with my left hip in such pain for weeks, my right hip began to ache just because it was doing double duty.

I would like to comment on the last part of your video. I could not agree more with what you send. A marriage is a partnership. We as a society have lost so many of the old ways I am a traditionalist myself, and I know my wife would step up if she had to. God, family And country. My God keep blessing you and your family, get well soon.

Always found the american style crutches to look kinda odd i can only imagine theyd be kinda unweildy, but maybe more supportive as the ones here in the UK rest just below the elbow and wrap around the forearm

Funny you have a fire going & are wearing long sleeves. It's 90° in Alabama & going to be hotter than that next week. I'm sure mama cat enjoys being by the fire. My cats like to lay close to my grill & smoker when I have some coals lit.

I watched u move some coals in your fire with a piece of wood then set the wood back on the stack of wood. I did about the same thing thinking there was no way it was in the fire long enough to catch fire, but it did and I found it before it caught my house on fire, please learn from my mistake and dont do that. I am not east cost or West cost man I am in texas and a home owner I am one that is for mom stays home with the kids when the government virus I lost my job and got my social security disability we had no income for over a year thank got we had family that helped but I knew my wife couldn't work and I knew God would provide and yes I know God provide for them who provide for them self

Hi wranglerstar I am a relatively new mechanic and I have found a tool you might like from snap on it’s the SHLFD80A 1/2" Dual 80 long with the flex head, I use it for alignments and as a breaker bar and it’s amazing I highly recommend it

My wife makes the most money in our home too. I cook clean and take care of the kids during the day and work nights and weekends.

Cody, as a physician AND a patient (both total knees and a little back surgery), don’t worry too much about a total hip replacement. The recovery from a total hip is probably less time than a broken one. I play tennis with a guy who had a total hip years ago. He’s 90 years old and slowing down a bit now, but he can play tennis, and chainsaw in the woods, with the best of them. In the hands of a good surgeon, not much to worry about. And it sounds like you have that covered. Man, I wanted to come through the screen and help you with that countertop.

Ive always believed that our minds are tougher and stronger than our bodies. We have the ability to adapt and overcome so many physical challenges. You’re adaptations are a cool example. And you made them fast. My mechanic is in wheelchair. He does small engine work since his accident. His shop Is set up at his working level. The floor is completely free of obstruction and all his work benches are fairly shallow, so he can reach the shelves, plugs and air tool fittings comfortably from his chair. He’s a talented mechanic and small engine master. Humans are cool.

I'm sure we've all seen stories where the loyal dog is found laying next to their master's body after the person has unexpectedly expired. In Cody's situation Mama Kitty will be that dog.

Spent the day digging a trench to run a water line to my garden

Cody, we don't see eye to eye on everything (and that's ok), but a man who talks to and is kind to cats, and is trusted by a cat, is a good man. Take it easy on that hip. Better to let it heal completely and put off some projects than have it bother you the rest of your life.
