Funny story....I bought the ridgid tool kit that had the drill/impact driver and bunch of other stuff. I'm an engineer and I'm able to make the complicated simple but that comes with a cost. I'm equally able to make the simple complicated and overlook things. Basically, I dismissed this impact driver and NEVER used it for like two years. One day I needed to do something and put it to work and was soooo impressed with its power. I have air powered impact drivers but I had NO idea that this was an impact driver (that's the stupid in me). Thank you so much for the feedback!
Thanks for the video. It was really helpful. I bought my wife and I kayaks and realize I needed to store them somewhere. My project today is building a rack in my garage. I basically had the same idea as you but yours is a little cleaner. Great job and thanks again 👍🏼
Thank you! It does come at a cost though - it is so rigid it is not forgiving when you walk by it and smack your head on it. I came close to hitting it but my sister in law really hit it.
Here's the post I created that highlights the measurements. The 40" measurement at the bottom is the outside to outside measurement of the two supports for spacing between them. ru-vid.comUgx0v_dDEW2LqZcCfd14AaABCQ
Awesome build. Shocked you didn't use your CNC to make it. Like a bunch of sections cuts. PS. I'm not a wood worker so don't mind me. If I had a kayak I would also make this. Maybe in 2 years.
Hey thanks and the CNC would have been a bad a$$ way to go. A little design in Fusion360 and cut out some pieces!!! Thanks for keeping in touch! I hope things are well with you!
