In this video I will be walking you through how to convert an old refrigerator into a home draught beer system aka a kegerator. Whether you home brew and want to use Cornelius kegs (‘corny kegs’) or you don’t homebrew and want to use commercial sankey kegs, this video will show you the basics of how to turn an old appliance into a beer dispense dream. Just a few beer taps! A CO2 cylinder and some beer line and you’re away! The build that I will feature here uses a tall ‘larder fridge’ rather than the more common chest freezer approach. This type of conversion doesn’t require an external temperature controller (ink bird) nor does it require you to make a wooden collar (as with a ‘keezer’). I’ll walk you through from start to finish, covering all of the tools and gear required.
The key to success here is to go slow with the drilling!
