Our tutorial video explaining techniques on how to build a koi pond finally comes to a close as we walk you through the completion and a short interview with Rosemary on her experiences of different pond construction styles. If you want to tackle this project on your own, we feel we have outlined and uploaded all the very important details so you can work with confidence. If you are looking for professional assistance building a koi pond on your property you can look to our team for assistance in design and support. Do not let a pond contractor talk you out of going deep or installing a bottom drain if you want a pond dedicated for koi. Thank you for taking the time to follow our How to Build tutorial videos that took us 3 years of dreaming and one year of production to complete! Life is Short, Enjoy Koi.

It's so typical how addicting ponds and fish are. Everyone starts small and goes bigger bigger bigger. Beautiful work by builder

Eric, you have completely outdone yourself, not only regarding this pond, but regarding this video series as well. This has been by far the most enjoyable, most informative, and most empowering series on pond design and construction. You know it's a good series when you watch the final installment and your first thought is to immediately go back and watch the entire series over again. Well done! Kudos to you and your whole team. And a big thank you to Rosemary for sharing this adventure with all of us.

Wow! I’ve just spent my entire Sunday watching every single episode, yes...56 episodes; of this koi pond installation, and I’m flabbergasted. What a fantastic pond, beautiful landscaping, tranquil sounds of rushing water and very pleasing to the eyes. You should be very proud of this project. Eric....you’re awesome!

It's time for a 5 year "REVISIT"!!! Excellent Job @ThePonDigger Eric & Crew!! So glad that Rosemary was willing to let you capture every step and share this experience with hundreds of thousands of other interested people. The only thing missing was a final slow and detailed look at everything...the skimmer, landscaping & plant selection, etc. Everyone wants to see how this pond has grown & "aged" since 2015, so PLEEEEASE revise Rosemary and her beautiful pond for a short interview, recap, and a good "pond only" 5 min view of the koi, landscape, & pond. Not to mention we all want to see how well the equipment has held up after 5 years +.

What a terrific resource you have been, Eric. I am nearly finished with the pond I promised my wife for mother's day. I could never have done it without the knowledge and experience you shared in this series. I did buy some Helix parts you recommended. They are top quality. I am in your debt for making this resource available to me and those whom I've sent to view this series. Thank you, thank you!

It's been a nice build. My first pond was a 55 gallon plastic pond. My second, same location, is 105 gallon. However, I want to go bigger. Planning on cement lining and shaping a 3x larger pond. I have a few Koi and some Gold fish. They've gotten as big as they're going to get in that small pond. What I wanted to know more about was filtration. You addressed that nicely. Thank you.

Awesome build! The pond project was a long time coming and it turned out amazingly well! I was particularly blown away by the contrast of the fish against the water, shows how depth can really play a part and having your fish's colors really pop. I also liked how the waterfall turned out. The multiple steps and gentle flow is just right. Great work Eric!

I was fortunate enough to purchase a home with a large koi pond built as you have described. It was nearly maintenance free. My biggest problems were removing bass and sunfish that somehow found their way in and giving away excess koi to friends because the pond would become overpopulated.

Eric thank you so much for the great work you have done in putting together this series on how to build a koi pond, absolutely brilliant. I am spending a lot of time at home in isolation because of the Corvirus19 and I've always wanted a pond and I thought what the hell this is as good a time as any. I thought I knew what to do but decided to check out RU-vid for ideas on design and the engineering of the plumbing in different elements needed to have a successful outcome. I was absolutely naive in my first approach to building a pond. I am so glad that I came across your instructional videos. Because of your excellent videos and their quality and your incredible Talent in front of the camera to give instruction on building ponds and sharing your experiences I contacted your office and had the pleasure of speaking with your wife and have placed an order for my first system from your company. I'm very excited to receive my shipment and finish my small pond 8 by 11 feet and 40 in deep with a nice waterfall. Thank you again, you are a master and an artist, I appreciate your focus on detail and your quest for excellence and not cutting any corners; absolutely inspirational, you're a gift. +archangel don't be fooled hey. lots of information on these videos but good luck tackling it yourself. He obviously has a head on his shoulders and you can't learn what he knows from university or college either. to even attempt a pond you should have a pretty broad knowledge and experience base for the building envelop first. the construction world looks easy at times when pros tackle it but you don't get to hear him or anyone bitching about having a sore back or squished fingers. very difficult work if you want it done right!

Thank you. I had a contractor who tried to make me sign on a contract that I didn't want because he couldn't do what I wished for.

I binge watched all 56 parts....and this was awesome....I grew up in foster care...and my foster mother had a very small koi pond and I've... always wanted one....I had such fond memories of that pond ...and you work with such acquired skill and care....and take so much pride in your work....I'm from California and now live in Texas and was wondering how I could contact your company to draw me up some design plans...again your work was awe inspiring

That seemed like a sudden ending. I was thinking there was still a few more episodes to come before the final one. Anyway that pond looks sensational. Thanks for sharing all your hard work with us.

The previous one showed the building of the waterfall so that's it. I do wish he would do an episode on the plants and pond equipment (pump, skimmer, etc) they used.

kymbo72 KYMBO72!!!! Thank you for your feedback and your loyal following. There are probably a few more videos we could have tied into the series but we figured a year long series was long enough. We have some additional content coming that we hope will keep you begging for more. Thanks for watching!

A small 1ft deep area to one side might be nice for the fish to swim close while being able to sit and put your feet in the water. The current setup of high rocks seems tough to reach down to the water.

aguyandhiscomputer Good feedback. The deck is fun to sit on with your feet in the water and the very first rock we placed is amazing to sit on with your legs in the water above your calves. It was hard to film those areas of interaction but I agree with your way of thinking 100%
