HOW to BUILD a MANLY SHOVEL GUITAR, MAN

A few years back, I built an electric shovel guitar, and an electric shovel bass, when there was no one building them online yet -- only Justin Johnson playing one on his video. I built mine from looking at that. Using the same type shovel you guys used, I made a nut from a piece of aluminum angle, I put the pickup, bridge, and strings on the backside of the shovel, rather than the front. Doing it this way put the pickup much closer to the strings, which sounds much louder, and seemed to make it easy to play. For mine, I had to heat the shovel up with map gas to take the temper out of the metal so I could drill it. They sure do sound badass, don't they? Try another one and turn it around this time. I think you'll like it better.
