Another well done video Emily. Could you share which grit sanding pads you mainly use and a link for any diamond blades and grinder sanding pads you use as well. 🍻
Hey Jason! So for hadn't sanding pads, I put the link above in the video descriptions. Here's the link for the backer and grinder pads: amzn.to/3TH2O7p anything like that will work (I'm not brand specific on those). As far as a blade, you want something with a turbo mesh blade. So on amazon, I would recommend amzn.to/3VhZDnP or amzn.to/490oOOZ that second link is to calidad blades, if you go to their website, they have a blade called the butter cutter and that's a really nice blade.
I know it's going to be beautiful, but WOW! That's a lot of work getting the mitered edges finished like you want. Is there not a plastic (or something) 90° to rounded center tight arch tool you could use to make finished mitered curves perfect, similar to the yellow scrapers? That way, one pass might do it, and a second surely would, plus it would clean the 90° sides. Just imagining an easier way.
Here’s a tip that might help. On the miter for top of the curb, put the uncut piece under the other piece and then just trace the angle on to the lower piece.
Thanks for this tutorial! Just finished tiling some mitre corners myself and now need to fill them with Epoxy. Do you use the same epoxy for the Mitres for the rest of the grouting or use a separate grout? I'm just concerened that if i use a separate epoxy for the non mitre grouting then the colours wouldn't match? Thanks!
@@Paul_D. I Match the color as best as possible. This just takes some practice. You will use normal grout on all your flat surfaces. If you tried to epoxy everywhere it would be a nightmare! This stuff sets up pretty quick and isn’t super fun to work with. It likely won’t match exactly and it’s not that noticeable. Good luck!
@@GTRJohn you’re exactly right. We had a bad experience with the plumber on this property. One flange was so unaligned I had to cut it out because I couldn’t even mount a toilet. This one in this bathroom, we were able to get away with a waxless seal with and extra thick gasket.
@YouCanDIYHome I think that you have a broken Aussie. She doesn't chase or heard and she is afraid of new people. But she's cute as a button! And I know that she is your bff
@@64maxpower We always joke that if she was someone's first Aussie, and then they got another, they'd be in a for a big surprise. She is so lazy. I'm a distance runner so I wanted a high energy dog. When I do long runs, we have to coordinate for my husband to pick her up part of the way through the run 🤣
@YouCanDIYHome You look like a runner. maybe she is an extra smart Aussie and realizes running for 10 miles is crazy I want a high energy dog after I been watching 2 Duck Tollers
