I live in Texas the weather over here gets crazy its to cold than to hot so i dont know what type of plumbing would be recommended
@YouCanDIYHome
@YouCanDIYHome День назад
I would think the biggest factor is insulating well. We get way way cold here and I coordinated with the building inspector on this. I used pex just because that's pretty standard here unless you're doing a super high end home and someone wants to pay a premium for a full copper/solder job. The most important component was the double wall and double insulation. Then of course blow in insulation to a super high R value in the whole attic on top of that as well.

Yikes!! This is a very dangerous approach!! Please wear a mask, protect your eyes, and head!! Ceiling tiles of this age (pre 1980) may contain asbestos, so something to consider. Also, always remove fluorescent tubes from fixtures to avoid breaking. When yours fell, it looked like the tubes may have broken judging by the big white cloud created, which is another toxin as these tubes contain mercury..and other not good to breathe chemicals like phosphor.

@@Mr.PoopyDoobertPants the watch is meant for pretty extreme sports so they usually hold up pretty well. It’s a gps watch I use for trail runs so it gets pretty dirtyon the trail and is built to hold up. My poor ring, it definitely has some permanent grout and other cementous products in the sides.

Would have been useful to see the dryer going on. My legs on the dryer are as low as they go and I can say there is still wiggle room. The screws are a cheap way of harnessing this thing down. Not pleased that this thing makes my house sound like a jet engine.

Great Video. I poured a concrete pad 20 years ago for the base of wood entry steps. I was running out of material during the pour and ended up using a couple of different left over bags to finish pouring. The temperatures were near freezing just before winter and the pad slowing degraded over time. Now is the time to re-form and re-pour. I will post the results. This is the best video I have seen on doing such a repair.

@@crystalchampeau2174 no way! No questions are stupid :) Once it dries, you can cut it out with a razor blade or with one of those little multi tool cutters just to be flush. Depending on how much it expands, you can either cover with trim, or when you tile, you can fill any voids with mortar.
