I like your drawing skills, they look very similar to mine! P.s. I wish I had watched this video a few weeks ago. I painted something white with a knot in it. It keeps coming back after a coat of primer/sealer and multiple coats of white paint! Can you please build a time machine and go back and tell me about this tip?

Some of the wood was cupping so I used screws to pull them down so they would lay flat.

How deep did you dig the two posts?

Wish I could remember cause I did do my research for proper mailbox height I believe it was 18-24 inches down

Actually the slats were Cyprus if I remember correctly

@@84848AR I haven't been by but the post were treated timber and the boards were Cyprus so I doubt it. But regardless of the wood if you keep it painted it won't rot.

While this was great I'd like to point out something this video, and several others, has done. This is NOT a mailbox build. This is a mailbox base/post build. I was surprised on how few youtube videos there was of the actual mailbox fabrication.
