It’s so kind of you to make this kind of tutorial videos. You could be doing a simple cover or anything else but instead you help your viewers with tips you learned from your experience❤️🤟

Those line outs on the interface are balanced trs line outs! All you need is a trs to XLR converter. A di rack is unnecessary.
@FELT.LIVEMUSIC
@FELT.LIVEMUSIC Год назад
It’s worth having the DI in there if only for the robustness of the XLR connection, they’re less likely to come out in travel. It also makes this a much more versatile rig, with pads and ground lifts so you can essentially use your rig as an 8 channel mixer, allowing a DAW to handle signal processing.

I've been following thus channel for a while and it's been helping me out so much! I'm using Ableton for live looping guitars, bass, synthesizer and various other instruments. I'm using my Apollo twin and using my MIDI footswitch for easy accessibility and looping. My question is how can I get the best possible sound when I plug in through my PA? Should I be routing my instruments two different outputs? Should I use multiple computers? Should I get a DIY rig? Should I also be playing with my amps?Got any suggestions here for my output sound?

I'm pretty new to recording and all this and i could'nt find a solution on the internet yet. Most audio interfaces e.g. the focusrite 18i20 got phantom power switches for channel 1-4 and 5-8. But most sets of drum mics have 5 dynamic mics and 2 condenser mics, that require phantom power. How does this work out? I looked up like 50 tutorials about drum recording and interface/mic reviews and nobody ever talks about this. Can anyone help me with this?

Good and informative video but isn't more convenient to have the backing mixed as just one track (minus cluck/guide). I mean the mix has to be great but from there on is there then a real need for control of the individual parts of the backing track?

Really important question: If you can´t or don´t want to record the audios you would like to use as your backing track for whatever reason, you can still program them with Midi, right? But if you want to program Midi I´m pretty sure you have to do that in the arrangement view. So now the question: Is it possible to put that Midi notes (if you can call them notes) that you produced and that you want to use as your backing track into the session view onto a Midi Channel? If it is, how? Is it possible to record and save it from the arrangement view so you can import it to a Midi channel in the session view, or can you just copy it from the arrangement view and paste it into the session view into a Midi channel? It may be possible to transform the Midi notes into actual audio, maybe even through recording and saving, if what you record transforms Midi already into an audio file, so you can actually use it as an audio file, so you can save it and import it to an audio channel in the session view. Maybe, and that´s also how I believe it is, both works. I can´t try it out myself at the moment, because my current band doesn´t need it at the moment and as I´m only 15 I can´t just buy those things for no reason, if I don´t have any use for it at the moment, however I wanted to find out more about it, because I heard a because I've heard from drummers a few times now that this can be a plus point that can lead to being hired. If somebody made it through that book, thank you! If you even have an answer to it, that´s great! :)

@@samuelappiah8560 That's what Redroomberlin was saying. There's no need. Balanced outputs can be on TRS as well as XLR. A DI is just for converting hi impedance unbalanced to low impedance balanced. Most interfaces today have balanced line outs on TRS. Just need a TRS to XLR cable.

Why bother putting a Behringer DI in the chain? It’s more unnecessary money to spend, makes the rig bigger/heavier, and worse, it introduces another opportunity for noise. That interface has balanced outs.

Why do you need the DI box? Couldnt you simply use a 1/4" to XLR cable?
@maciekgonet
@maciekgonet 4 года назад
From what I know that could be a problem if the person running FOH accidentally switched on phantom power on the board. If the xlr is plugged into it then the current could fry the output of the Interface or worse, the whole Interface.
@mattseago4384
@mattseago4384 4 года назад
Maciek Gonet this is a fair concern. I’m tempted to open up my interface and look now but I bet the signal is buffered on the way out. all phantom power does really is provide a DC offset. As long as that signal is buffered or similar on the way out everything *should* be fine. Buffering is exactly what you’re suggesting the DI is doing. Super valid concern though

According to this guy of the video that i shown, there is no need to have a D.I Rack for Backing Tracks, with just 1/4" TRS to XLR cable should be fine ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--YzcUxCJLfI.html&t=122

Not a bad suggestion if all you’re doing is solely tracks, but for the same price as the TrackRig, you can get the Focusrite interface I’m using in this video which can be used for awesome recordings, and a ton of other IO situations.

Why bother having musicians or singers? You can have the original artist on a CD or DVD. Think of the money a church would save, not having to hire a worship leader. In fact, why even hire a Pastor. You can have big name preachers like Billy or Franklin Graham, John Piper or whoever every Sunday preach on video.
