i wonder if this kind of thing is happening in any other industry? like, is there a fishing rod manufacturer whose videos have gradually descended into bizarrely niche comedy that would make zero sense to 99.9% of the population but for those of us who get it, it's gold

I mean besides cooking I don’t know as far as niche comedy RU-vid shows. Not a good comparison (everyone cooks and eats. Just not at that level necessarily) . However this rabbit hole I would love. If anyone else’s knows another industry satire niche comedy channel let me know! Lol

Hey, Ive decided to jump in on this, following your advice. I'm starting my line off with a Tube Screamer clone, a larger Tube Screamer clone that has a RAT clone running in parallel, and a third Tube Screamer clone that I call the Color Box.

This was ANOTHER classic JHS Show episode. What I particularly loved: the real-time version literally fell-apart with youtube glitchiness...then the JHS folks re-packaged it into this form. But the falling-apart of the real-time stream: that was comedy in and of itself. So happy I was there to witness it.

This is very disruptive but I noticed a serious lack of acronyms, which is the First principle of FART approach (Fancy Acronyms in Real Time) With that, maybe Uncle Em will grow its KPIs ASAP, in a continuous cycle of PDCAs for their PCB's QA process

Here for the shameless plug invite. My first couple pedals are based on synthesizer circuits and I think they do novel things in the guitar and bass effects space. I'm currently chewing through a backlog of projects including "how to" videos for assembling PCBs I include with my pedals (and giving away the demo units). Still trying to find my voice in the video side of the business, haha

FWIW, finding a niche is definitely key to compete against the big guys. For example, if you decided to cater to a specific niche, like those that plug into a PA (e.g., coffee shop acoustic, PW, garage band PA boards, etc.), combining the Pulp N Peel with Reverb and Tuner would be quite a rig. :)

I'm building diy pedal too But I swear I'm not gonna use that aluminum standard case, hehe. I prefer the aesthetic of 70's ,80's, 90's sloped pedal enclosure. Shin ei, ampeg scrambler, fender blender. I idolize beetronic for its cool artsy, heavy graphical direction, love hulten with his retro pastel color vintage synth And of course Dieter Rams
