My boyfriend said the same thing, and this is leaving me feeling like I watched a different video than you guys. Yes, things were explained, but I still don't have any idea how to start lol. The most I got out of this was lining it with typar (which I have on hand) and to put a board across the middle to prevent swelling...

You’d be surprised how many people when at the lumber store don’t think about buying material that is the best price for the job. Buying 10’ boards instead of 8’ and 4’ boards or all 8’ and having to do a lot of cutting saves time and money. Sometimes it may work the other way around, it might be cheaper to do a lot of cutting and buy a bunch of odd sized boards. You just have to weigh out labor/ware and tear on tools to material costs. I’ve saved a lot of money and job bids over the years buy taking my time at the lumber store and deciding the best option. Like your show, been away for a while, doing a large garden this year. Fun watch.

I have been watching allot of your videos lately and you have explained things very well. I am only 31 years old, but I’m more of a jack of all trades with a slight advantage in plumbing. I am always wanting to understand and learn new things to gain more knowledge. I plan to open a Handyman business up in the next year, once the economy catches back up. I have made all the repairs to my house since I was 21 years old when I first bought it. I work at the VA Medical Center in Facility Management, so I have to know all trades along with working with contractors and engineers with blue prints and renovations.Over the past year I have been able to take on anything residential thanks to your videos and knowledge. Keep the videos coming and thank you for taking the time to explain in detail. I am more of a hands on kinda guy, but the way you explain is awesome!

Great looking planters and interesting way to build them! I only have 1 small concern with using cedar tongue and groove planks: my neighbor used that for his privacy fence and the boards warped after drying out through the summer leaving some gaps here and there.. Also cedar tongue and groove boards don't seem to be readily available in Montreal :(
@DanStAubin-oo7zv

Instead of hiding screws by gluing and clamping, you could use super glue the trim pieces at 3 points and spray instant activator on your planter box. Wood glue in the spaces in between. Once you press the trim pieces in place, the super glue activates from the activater and instantly becomes your clamp for the wood glue. No screws needed!
