We’ll done. One of the simplest builds Ive see. I think that undercambered wing would have done well with some incidence, leading edge higher than the trailing edge, and you could probably get that slow flight with more pitch stability. But I’ll be honest with you, one of my favorite planes to fly, flies terrible. Geometry is all wrong cus it’s a foam chuck glider with swept back wings and a top mounted motor pulling it, and elevons for control. It’s all wrong but it’s so much fun. So enjoy it the way you want!
Looks like it flies very well! Though I have to say that the plane is missing the spirit of slow stick, which is the rubber band! There are some stl files on cults3d with proper wing mounts. They are designed for a thicker stick but can be rescaled / cut open to fit on the thinner stick.
Well it started out nice until you started using the 3d printer. Not all of are rich!!! Still I may take some tips from this video to build something similar.
information 2:15 these two parts are NOT necessary. as a result, the tail has, unnecessarily, been made Heavier. clipping off the tips of the horiz-stab is NOT correct design. instead, a couple degrees of SWEEP should be used, at the stab Leading Edge. sweep extends FROM the Tail Boom TO each stab tip.!!! 2:21 especially at the tail, adhesive should be used SPARINGLY. so that, the amount of mass located at the tail is kept to a minimum. the chords of the rudder and elevator should be EQUAL in length. in other words, the chord length of the rudder is EXCESSIVE. IF MATERIAL is removed from the lower edge of the rudder, ONLY the MINIMUM area Necessary should be removed. in this case, the rudder ALREADY had some clearance, as a result of mounting the vert-stab at the top of the tail boom. 3:00 bleh the dihedral SHOULD have been built into the wing, at the time when the wing halves were joined. 4:11 the height of the vert-stab should be equal to a bit less-than FIFTY percent of the horiz-stab span.! when a vert-stab is made taller than that, it is EXTRA HEAVY; and the tail is Extra Heavy. 4:32 put (the mass of) servos AT/near the cg.!!!!! NOT aft of it.! cg SHOULD BE located at, or a bit forward-of, THIRTY percent of chord.!!! 5:20 control horns are NOT Correctly located.! 6:00 the tail is HEAVY.!!! the vert- stab and rudder should be RE-DESIGNED, in accordance with what i have said in this comment. the type of main wing used here SHOULD be mounted with a couple degrees of Positive angle of attack (aoa). in other words, the main wing should be mounted such that the leading edge is slightly 'higher' than the trailing edge. when a model this small is made using foamboard, the model Will Be heavy, for its size. as this model is. googletranslate
@@randallcallison9373 That's his hobby. I always see him criticizing people's builds. Seems knowledgeable and I'm sure there are some good suggestions but he's not very nice about it. Also don't see any of his planes on his channel...
