Yes, but you will need to set up authentication via some kind of server. I used firebase auth in this app for demo purposes, but I do not cover setting that up beyond what you see in the application code. Feel free to use whatever auth server you want.
It uses both Compose and XML, as is the case in the last two production apps I've worked in in companies. Stop playing the Compose vs XML tribalistic bullshit game. They're both tools with different strengths and weaknesses. You don't have to pick a side like it's a sports team or something.
@@wiseAss it's not a bullshit game lol, xml will be deprecated in the future and Compose will become the defacto standard. Most greenfield projects are being started with Compose and not with xml.
@@wiseAss if your putting out fresh content, I'd recommend delivering content with the most modern approach. Most people aren't looking to develop projects using xml anymore, especially when learning off RU-vid. This will also future proof your content making any tutorials you deliver relevant for longer ;) there isn't a tribe for xml, it won't be around for much longer and will be considered legacy code.
