I put this build off for years (simply because I don't like to spend money), but with the craziness of education this year I'm glad I finally got around to it. If I had built a podium 10 years ago it probably wouldn't have had wheels, but mobility really enhances its usefulness. I ended up finishing it with a dark walnut stain and three coats of semigloss polycrylic.
