Come build a Saltbox Colonial with me! The Saltbox was first built in New England around 1650, experienced a resurgence post Civil War, and has maintained its popularity since. Hallmarks of this architectural style include two stories in front, one in the back, and I totally missed the opportunity to compare this house to a mullet; once popular, since rebranded, always an icon. The Saltbox has many typical colonial aspects, as well, with shuttered double hung windows, a centralized fireplace, and symmetrical face. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I love speedbuilds for inspiration, but I prefer videos like this for actually building, which is why I make them I guess 😅

What do you use to record? If it's obs you can add sound suppression and a noise gate to pick up less background noise.

I do use OBS! Audio has never been my strong suit, but my husband has done a ton of work with the program and it is SO much better than it used to be. (If you watch some of the videos from the beginning of July you can really tell the difference.) The real issue is simply that I have a very soft voice, hard as I try, and the settings that work great for other people just can't help me 😅 After the holidays I'm hoping to get a better mic, and that will help a ton as well. Thank you so much for feedback though!
