Amateur Architecture Enthusiast making Sims 4 Build Tutorial meets Video Essay meets Chronic Overexplaining videos. How fun. sahm (sam) - stay at home mom bean (bēn) - nickname for my small child I don't have a creator code yet because I keep forgetting to apply :(
Unfortunately, from what I've heard, cheats are the least reliable on Xbox. For debug specifically I recommend just skipping the cheat and searching for what you need on the gallery. If you want debug for whatever world you're in, search "pack name debug" or if there's something specific you're looking for you can search for that like "debug garage door" or "landscaping debug".
I do play on PC but I have the Better Build Buy mod by TwistedMexi, which lets me have the debug and free edit stuff in my main build menu. It also makes most of it searchable which is such an amazing time saver.
No but this is genius!! Why have I never thought about it 😮 As a person that likes landscaping and making rocks/bushes stick into one another, I absolutely LOVE your creativity ❤
Thank you! Did your parents watch the "Addams Family" Homeschool parody video, too? There's some verse in there about the nine year old being a surgeon and that's immediately what I thought of with this 😂😂
It’s okay to make things uneven. When I build dining tables I usually set the chairs unevenly around the table so it makes more space and looks more used.
I probably didn't word that very well. You can curve on any platform by clicking on the ball over the selected roof, but the additional curving controls that I used here (the three separate balls) can only be unlocked by pressing a specific key combination that is not available on the console controllers.
Get Together, Cats and Dogs and Cottage Living definitvly have some art nouveau items! Or at least some pretty nice late XIX century esque items Specially the glasswork, the sconces and lamps in Cottage Living, the stained glass doors and windows in Get Together... Cats and Dogs has no bussiness having a Tiffany Lamp!!! Also, they have pretty awesome artwork! The get together ones def give off Edwardian era portraits Art Nouveau is one of my fave aesthetics and I totally agree is so underrepresented, if we (hopefully) get a Fairy Pack, it should totally be Art Nouveau!!!!
I forgot about those lamps! This is one of the reasons I'd like to have a separate video for furnishing, so I can spend a bit more time on it, instead of having to split my recording time between the exterior and interior.
Thank you for the recap! I was only able to watched small poriton of both stream. My favorite room is the yellow and green bedroom with the statue! The second place goes to the beach theme hallway and the third is the girrafe dining room. Can't seem to pick just one room 😆
Things I missed: Detail edit mode also lets you move the earlobes and the irises up and down. Get ready for some truly crazy eyes. You can also adjust the curvature of the top and bottom eyelids, which I knew but either didn't record or somehow cut out in the editing process 😬 Keep them coming 👇 I'm already going to have to make an updated version of this video next year because I'm anticipating a huge update to CAS with the new expansion pack 😅
If you grab the eye lids near the middle in detail mode you can move side to side to change the curvature of the lids, it's one of my favorite details. This is a great video, I learned a lot, I completely forgot you could move the ears
What? The computer lagging with this game? Ridiculous 🙄 All kidding aside, I did spend a lot of time before recording looking super close at everything to see what was changing and what wasn't, and the head being highlights and shading kinda surprised me.
Wow, so much information 😅 Now I finally know how to create alternative outfits, thanks! Sorry if it’s actually in the video and I missed it: is there an option to copy the outfit from one category to another? Like when you had all the same outfits in your tags to riches? I usually randomize and adjust. Just yesterday I had a hot weather outfit that made for a great posh exercise outfit, and it’s tedious to find the individual pieces…
There's not! It's so annoying! I also love doing the exact same outfit for my rags to riches challenges, so I do the clothes kind of like the makeup: pick something in everyday, apply it to all outfits, go back to everyday to pick the next item, and so on. It's tedious 😔
Great video Sahm! Very comprehensive and helpful. One thing I noted that I don’t think you mentioned is that in detail edit mode you can actually also change the length of the earlobes if you pull up and down on them.
Fantastic, so comprehensive, and typical thorough Sahm - which we love. ❤️ I’ve finally learnt how to do something I’ve been trying to figure out how to do for AGES, plus a few bonus new things! I’m so excited to maybe not quit CAS in frustration next time. 🎉
I'm so glad this could help! I even learned some things, like how the detail edit mode jaw movement is more like rotating the jaw and the normal edit mode just moves it. Fascinating stuff 😅
I love this but i have 1 request: Can you do the same house but just base Game products. (I built this without the pack and i wanted to see what you would do with just base Game) If you can that would be great! ❤❤
I probably won't do this exact same home again, but here are some base game builds I've done you might like if you like this house: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h3R1EaViotw.htmlsi=PCQQ2w_oH_MGeLi0 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qFdRVdZ1n1A.htmlsi=eFJGRtQgNGz4gsR3 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4y4SlnFUaNU.htmlsi=NRTqQXrMpwSPhbMY ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qR1RcfBgmRY.htmlsi=JKP6yxwyrlmU-N7R ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-10O82iOwOdg.htmlsi=0HUyhpCHsPj7yiPg
I have heard some players have had this issue, which is so weird. Foundations should adjust per building, not per lot. If you continue to have this issue I highly recommend filling out a bug report for ea so maybe they'll fix it faster.
Literally the only reason I put it on that wall was because of the window 🥲 you could also put in a wall or half wall there if you don't like the look of the open shower but you can't have it on a different wall for whatever reason.
Not dumb at all! Usually there's something you can use for a general scale, like doors or kitchen appliances. Start there and see how far you can get. If there's really nothing, then at that point I'd use it more for layout inspiration than a copy-it-verbatim floor plan
@@sahm_and_bean I was checking the layout again, and it says 749 square feet how do I measure that? The reasoning is this is going to be my first apartment and would like to have a plan in mind
Ohh, I see. Each tile is about 7 square feet (32" ≈ 1.7ft, and 1.7ft^2 ≈7sqft) Edit: so to finish out the equation, take your 749sqft and divide it into 7sqft to get 107 tiles. If you have tiny living that can easily help you count up to 100 tiles, although unfortunately it stops counting after that.
I went to look for buildings in this style and I came across a house in Tournai, Belgium. The windows in the game are a copy of this house)) I have rarely heard of Art Nouveau, But now I know more, thank you!!! ❤
I try to force the tap tap table into every build I am pathological in trying to make the bad items work. (I like to challenge myself i guess). I put it into a lot of kids spaces in community lots imagining it's a toy (not real fish). But if anything is remotely water related I try to put it there too. (Like my flamingo themed lounge, it eventually went in there). I also use the glowing bar annembarassong number of times too. Lol.
Thanks for the shorter video my adhd didn't let me finish the stream or the long video. I loved this, I'd love to see other streamers pick this up, it's so fun to see what happens.
hey i just wanted to comment to say that this video is exactly what i was looking for, and it helped me design my own adobe home from scratch so thank you :-)
