For those of you waiting patiently for Ducati content; The bike is 99% complete, we've just been waiting to figure out the last big issue and we are certain it's solved. The final episode of the build itself is finished except for that and will be coming by the end of next week. Then it's on to ACTUALLY RIDING THE THING. Yes, there will be videos. Thank you for watching!
As soon as I saw a project speed twin video, I clicked on it so fast. Thank you for the great work and taking the time to film it. I've taken this bike to the track myself and it's a fun bike that will catch most people off guard. Passing S1k, r1s and 600s on the turns on this thing and seeing people's reaction is so rewarding 😂.
We'll go over the bike in the next video and it should answer all your questions. We only say that because the guy writing this and the shop the bike is at are in different states 🤷♂️
Would have loved a longer version of it explaining the different mods. Did you guys also install a rear set for the pegs? Looks like it. How’s the clearance after mods?
@@sosocycles thanks, tonight I am installing a 17 front and 39 rear sprocket to 2019 Speed Twin. I think it will be perfect for canyons, track, and highway. If you want I can report back if its good or too tall for any applications.
Nice bike, The ST1200 was on my shortlist before I bought the scrambler with the same engine. A very customisable platform for sure. One thing, why didn't you do the radiator while the forks were off? Would have been a bit less fiddly.
It's a race bike and metal tanks are much cheaper than carbon. And we mention it a couple times, but it's built to compete in the SuperHooligan class of MotoAmerica!
Sponsreed by Triumph? why not save money and make a race bike from an old and cheap ktm950/super duke or similar. about the same perf, same heavy crappy handling but so much cheaper :P
Not sponsored, but when you get the deal we did on a brand new Speed Twin 1200, it's hard to pass up. Plus, we're a dealership and we sell these things, so this is a fun way of showing off what they can do. And you'd be shocked at how good this thing is now. We'll go over all the stuff we did in a later video, but it didn't honestly take much to make it REALLY good.
