this is super helpful!!! I am trying to find how to use Riverside to record a video podcast with 2 cameras and mics in the same room (not remote) any ideas or tutorials to share?
Hey Marc! Thanks for watching. For that kind of hybrid recording, you can use a video switcher like the ATEM Mini, or record locally to each camera separately. You can also use mobile devices as separate camera angles using the Riverside Secondary camera feature! Here are some videos on those: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9VaGdfQP-u0.htmlsi=pZPjwORFgjvq3_1c and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0o3XAJ9lKT4.htmlsi=t7wnSCpMIROXhUlm
I keep coming back to this video after researching and watching other videos- yours it sooo helpful! No video I watched mentions a memory card... which one should I buy for sony ez v10 for HD quality? I'm having trouble finding out which one to use :D
Thanks! You can learn about connecting a mirrorless camera as a webcam in our video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XlUaZ3LOn0E.html Connecting via video switcher here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9VaGdfQP-u0.html Audio interfaces here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2NkDvSpGDP4.html
Typically not. I'll have bullet points in a note that'll refer to as I record to make sure I don't miss anything. We do have a video with some tips for being on-camera here! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oafbug_YyGY.html
Any camera recommendations for beginner podcaster that isn't so expensive? I don't know my way around tech, so I'm hesitant to buy $1000+ cameras... is it really worth it if i'm just starting out? thanks :)
We would recommend using your mobile devices as your camera for now! If you have an iPhone, Continuity Camera is a great option: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pwr1CGjIYZo.html
If you have a computer / laptop, we would recommend plugging the zv-e10 to your computer with a cable and installing the webcam utility. Riverside will allow you to choose the camera directly! Then whatever mic you're using, you can also plug it into the computer and choose that in the Riverside studio. Here's a video on the camera connection: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XlUaZ3LOn0E.htmlsi=p_KW5PjVGvsm-_cy
Its that true that the Sony a7iv have warm issues wen recording video in 4k ? Im thinking buy one. I have already a sony fx30 and work perfectly whit the intern fan for cooling but i need two more cameras 😅 and the fx30 are expensive can someone tell about the a7iv if wort tho buy or not ?
If you record to the SD card, it can go about an hour depending on your settings. If you connect to Riverside and record that way, it won't overheat at all!
If recording on the highest 4K setting to an SD card, possibly. But you can use it in webcam mode and record in a Riverside studio and you won't need to worry about overheating!
Autofocus based on sound is not feature on these, or one that you will find in many cameras. But if you record multiple angles with separate cameras in a Riverside studio (you can integrate iPhone, Android, or iPad devices as secondary angles with the app), you can export a finished file that automatically switches to whoever is speaking throughout the recording.
If I were to record my video footage locally to an SD card can I input into riverside and merge/pair the audio from within the studio, or would I need to use Premier Pro to merge my audio/video then import into Riverside? My set up is for me and my partner, we have our Macbook with audio interface and both of our microphones which I assume can be recorded into riverside studio, but i'm then curious how I get my video from both cameras (2 angles) paired/synced with that audio in your studio, or whether i need some external software like Premier Pro as I said before Been scouring the comments section and your videos for this but haven't found anything that specifically goes into this
If you're recording to local SD cards on multiple camera, we would recommend using a multi-cam clip in Premiere. Also with two microphones into Riverside, you won't get individual tracks for each input, Riverside only gets the mixed version with both mic in the same channel. For info on the multi-cam clips, check out this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vz4h4bkhzvM.html and Hybrid, in-person recording: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FdkcLfm14O4.html
A great place to start is using your phone as the camera! If you have an iPhone that process is even easier: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pwr1CGjIYZo.html
