How To Build A Wooden Playhouse And Swing

The guy building this is a master boss putting this puzzle together.... Will start my attempt tomorrow and I have been building for 20 years...

I built mine with a six-month-old baby in a front pack. He did not enjoy the experience. But, I enjoyed your video and watched it about a dozen times. It was very helpful.

I put one of these together this weekend, completely alone (Dec 12, 2020). Here is what I learned. Do yourself a favor and build the tube slide first. It is by far the biggest headache, so best to get it out of the way while you are fresh. The tube slide took me 5 hours, but probably could have been 3.5 if I had another set of hands to help push stuff into shape while getting the fasteners into place. Here is a HUGE tip....use the 90 degree screwdriver included with the kit as a pick to line up all of the parts for the hole you are trying to fasten. Wiggle it around in the hole, then slowly pull it out and drop in the fastener. It makes a great pick because it is the exact same diameter as the holes in the plastic parts (you are trying to align 4 holes simultaneously. The two holes in the tube flanges and the upper and lower hole in the banjo clamp.) The next big tip is, read each instruction completely before performing the task. I am an engineer, so I tend to look at the picture and think I have it figured out...MISTAKE. Almost every instruction has some kind of "note" at the end that relates to orientation. Once you have that tube slide done, enjoy a cold beer.....YOU JUST WON. Its all just paint by numbers from there. Each wooden panel has a number stenciled on the end of it. Lay everything out so that you can see all of those numbers. The hardware is also labeled with a short code. If you run out of a particular hardware code, dont worry, there are more of them in some other bag you have not opened yet (same code). After the 5 hour fist fight with the slide, it took me 8 hours more to do everything else......and it was pretty relaxing. Good luck.

I just assembled this set -- you put the kitchen counter/stove/sink on the wrong side. The 1st piece of the counter you installed is too long to fit on inside so you have to cut an inch off it. Then it assembles on inside nicely. The way you have it, the kid on the swing will smash into it.

Dude, great job and thanks for the video. On a positive note......that was "like a boss" when you tipped the house on the swing support to attach the roof. On a negative note.....the kitchen is supposed to be on the inside. Im sure you figured that out the first time a kid got clocked by it while trying to swing.

Smooth buddy. I got the house built today. Dreading that tube slide tomorrow. Might skip a day since we have some gale force wind storms coming tomorrow. Just getting everything laid down so it doesn't get blown away. lol

I just watched this video after building mine this the exact same kit we have we got it from Walmart. I believe the swing will bang into the kitchen and tear it off and injure the child with it mounted on the outside. Otherwise good video.

Nice video! Does it just sit on the ground by itself there or you need to put a like a 10 or 12 inch screw to the ground to hold it tight? Does the set comes with anything like that? I felt like it’s not that solid by it self

How many boxes did you receive? I have ordered exactly the same one and have got 4 boxes and a slide. Is that what you got or more boxes?

Are you satisfied with this playset? I see some negative comments and reviews about it being poor quality. I would like to gift it to a family with 3 young children. I like that it has the 2 slides and the 3 swings. The dad will know how to put it together. Some of the reviews say it is made of poor quality wood. Do you feel this is a sturdy playset that will hold up with active young children?
