Korra having an 8 in strength just doesn't seem right, she is an absolute unit. Her wisdom grows throughout the series, as well as her intelligence, but INT is definitely her dump stat. I'd do standard array 15 Strength, 14 Constitution, 13 Charisma, 12 Dexterity, 10 Wisdom, 8 Intelligence. Or something along those lines. Also, Aang, fits the monk motif, Korra doesn't, she's more of a brawler when it comes to hand to hand, but very head first approach to bending, I'd make her some kind of Sorcerer. Her bending and martial abilities are stronger, Aang is more defensive and subtle in his strikes.
Why would you take Ride the Wind when your race gives you a means by which to fly already? It may not last as long, but unless your party can fly without you there probably won't be a whole lot of opportunities where you're going to need to fly for more than a minute or so. And a decent alternative to going Monk/Druid would be Fighter/Sorcerer. Take fewer levels of Fighter than this build did of Monk, then take a lot of Sorcerer levels and stock up on elemental spells and the metamagic for changing the element from one to another (instead of Fireball, you can cast Waterball and Earthball).
Gotta say I disagree with this build, mostly due to the amount of ki points the disciplines require in the subclass I would do a draconic monk (to get the bending infused attacks) for around 8 levels and either a druid or a nature cleric multiclass for the remaining 12. Giving much more bending feeling spells.
I was thinking the same thing. Ascendant Dragon gives you multiple ways to harness elemental damage without 4 or 5 ki points per use. Then I'd go Druid over Cleric. I get the spirit bridge aspect, but the avatar is the master of all four elements and druid has all the best earth and water spells. Wildshape is problematic, since he doesn't use it, but thanks to Tasha's, we can use those to summon a small animal companion (i.e. Momo).
Just discovered your channel and I have been very much enjoying your builds for characters I have been thinking about playing again and was wondering if you or anyone has any ideas on a John Constantine build form DC I was thinking of doing a multi class of bard/wizard/rogue but just looking for more input
But if its an generic avatar shouldnt its stats be equaly distributed so its youst an anvarange person and as it becomes a bether avatar trough its jurney the stats related to being an avatar improves via ability score improvments?
I would've gone Ascendant dragon and druid. Everything else looks like it works but four elements is known for being weak and if you drag your team down, you'll know about it.
I would probably do that for a particular bender, but Four Elements (despite being a bit weaker) just felt like the way to go for the Avatar thematically.

I saw other 4 other videos (2 for Aang and 2 for Korra) Your's would mostly fit Aang since he's more Dexterous/Wisdom character. one of the other builds use Circle of Stars to get his Avatar state. For Korra on the other hand the two other videos made her a Divine Soul Sorcerer/Fighter since she's more Charismatic and Brawny. but you did stated that your's is a general Avatar and not any specific Avatar. I'll add this to a playlist of D&D character videos that I have. Keep up the good work.
Because it's meant to be more an Avatar build in general, but if I just mentioned Avatar in the title some people might think James Cameron not last Airbender or Korra
Great; you chose the weakest class in 5e and then added the weakest subclass, and went 18 levels in it. This is a *TERRIBLE* build, at least at any table that pays even nominal attention to optimization. I don't understand why anyone would even bother with monk now that the Unarmed Fighting style, which will give you monk 11 damage at fighter 1, exists, but if you were going to waste levels on a subpar class, you should've quit at level 6 and gone druid the rest of the way. *THAT* is where elemental mastery is achieved. Personally I'd have gone fighter 2/druid 18, but even druid 5 gives you far, far more elemental power than any level of monk. Honestly, I wouldn't play this build on a *dare.*
I definitely know it's one of the worst subclasses in all of DnD, but I tried to stick to the theme of the character more than anything, which I know doesn't optimize in a lot of scenarios
