WAS JUST REVIEWING THE VIDEO BEFORE THE PREMIERE AND TOTALLY ADDED MY ATTACKS WRONG!!! SO CLOSE!!! But it's too late to replace the video At 09:17 It should be 3 Attacks per action and up to 7 Attacks At 14:39 It should be a 8 Attacks total for up to 242 Damage in a Round...
This is a great build, but I thinke there is a considerable replacement for the Berserker (3rd lvl only) Barbarian with 1 level of hexblade. So hear me out... Guts sword will become evil right? And the berserker armor can have an apearance change if you put on Armor of Agathys. At this point it is a good question if your 2nd action surge worth giving up on certian things as a Fighter, but I think a couple levels in Hexblade till u get level Eldritch Smite and 3.rd lvl or 2.nd lvl slots for a better Armor of Agathys. Storywise your Guts connection with demons and a certian Skeletal Kinght does qualify as being patroned... Alos Hexblades curse will make you way more dangerous (crit on 19-20) and you can add your PB to your attack damage (+6!) for every attack u make, against your cursed target. The improve pact weapon will slove the crossbow, and granade luncher problems, with fire bolt and improwe pact weapon's xbow. So overall that is the onyl thing I'd rather change. But this is a damn good build! Ty peace
A thing that always gets me is that barbarian would be a perfect class, but when you get to where the manga is, it's very hard to say that the berserker armor is anything but heavy. Nonetheless, very excited to see your take on him
Hola dnd class maker i will be looking forward to this one have a good night also hopefully if i ask for a kenpachi with bankai vid it will come true good noght:)
Guts has absolutely no education so making him low INT is pretty fitting. adding WIS makes sense from a lore perspective, too, all that experience as a soldier means he is very resourceful and perceptive, both in and out of fights.
I’ve been waiting for a guts build , guts is honestly one of my favorite anime characters and I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a character inspired by him, this is great
hes the prime example of a champion fighter. just go human champion, take defense and great weapon fighting, bump ur str and con to 20, have will for will saves, some dex for crossbow stuff, dump int and charisma. boom guts lol
For future characters think like this: what abilities do they have? E.g. Guts Big sword, crossbow, hand Cannon How can I get that? Big sword? Fighter 1st level pick greatsword Crossbow? Fighter 1st level pick crossbow (or buy it) Hand Cannon? Ehhh, maybe multiclass into something? Or instead go with eldritch knight, but pick spells that increase power so as to not become guts who flings lightning bolts. After you get the base, think: how can I make it more powerful? Greatsword relies on str, let me bump my str up And that's it!
Another alternative to the berserker barbarian could be Barbarian: Path of the Totem Warrior as a bear totem to get resistance on everything short of psychic damage (could integrate a magic item if desired to have full coverage). Up to you if you want to double down on some extra dps or sustainability. Combining rage is really nice alongside the resistances.
damn, i come to youtube to see a Griffith dnd build, and see this build give me a lot of hype to play in my new campaign, tnks for this beatiful video.
To be honest, I usually only dipped a couple levels of fighter then went pure barb, or stayed pure fighter and discussed things with the DM to arranged for a cursed adamantine full plate set that let me use haste and rage in exchange for losing hp each turn. The Berserker Armor is a set of curse dwarven plate mail. Not sure about 5E but in older editions dwarf plate was made of adamantine and reduced all damage taken by three because it was so tough. For Dragonslayer, a Large Greatsword with ghost touch sufficed. While not magical, Guts killed over 1000 demons with it and it gained the ability to cut across the astral barrier and destroy ghosts ect.
One fun thing if you don't want to play human a wild hunt shifter when shifted creatures within 30 ft cannot get advantage on them it'll cancel out the detriment from reckless attack
maybe a legendary magic item for barbarians, the item would be a suit of heavy armor that they can wear and does not mitigate any of their abilities, Instead of having an armor class the armor just gives a modifier to their barbarian unarmored AC. It's big ability is that when its activated whilst in a rage you are immune to all status conditions and can roll bonus damage when you hit for attacks at the cost of doing damage to yourself from swinging so hard. During your death saving throws you have to kill something within 3 turns of combat as opposed to making 3 roles and maybe a wisdom save to maybe have to kill allies. this armor in the state that he enters is very dangerous to him and I think the Item should reflect that.
Dude let’s goo another build‼️‼️I also be down to see a build of gold d roger/shanks I think that pretty cool since some of things they do is pretty similar and they have some crazy strengths but other than that have a good day can’t wait to see the next build🙏
I did try this build before in my friends campaign, it was fun. (great sword come with great dmg) Suggestion : the Bloodborne Hunter Build is interesting, wanna try that sometime? (weapon master, agile, high dex, int)
Thanks for pointing me to this one. Also, you said "up to 5 attacks" at 11th level. I think you meant up to *7* attacks, because you get your normal 1 attack, then 2 extra, then action surge for all 3 again, and the bonus on kill or crit.
Hexblade/paladin would be a good option. Pact of the Fiend and Oath of Vengeance or Oathbreaker paladin would be my pick. Though college of Whispers bard could offer some good penance stare potential
Personally I view Guts as a Zealot Barbarian with a Fighter dip. Rage beyond death for example is the perfect description of what the Berzerker armor does. It doesn't heal Guts, it sustains him. Rage beyond death You Can keep fighting even after you drop To Zero. As long as you maintain rage, you can keep fighting. Each hit you take you fail a death save, but you keep fighting. Alternate build: Race Variant human, feat great weapon master 15(+1) strength 14(+1) dexterity 13 constitution 12 intelegence 10 wisdom 8 charisma 1-5 Barbarian, path of the Zealot. First asi/feat: slasher +1 Dexterity Reduce a creatures speed by 10 feet when hit If crit a creature, it has disadvantage on all attackrolls until your next turn. 6-11 Fighter, Champion. (Sounds dumb, and basic But We crit fishing) Great weapon fighting First Asi: strength +2 Second asi: strength +2 Cap. 12-20 Barbarian the rest of the way taking medium armor master and Possibly sentinel or Savage attacker.
Yeah I rewatched the video right before the premiere and caught that, which screwed my calculations, but added the correction in the pinned comment, it killed me a bit that there was that error, but it was just too late lol
Before begin. Could the Beserker Armor (& robot arm) be a Warlock Patron? Armor of Shadows & all the various defence evocations & spells. Eldritch Blast could be his arm cannon? ... Oh need Crossbow Expert Feat. Since his mech arm has a Automatic Crossbow mounted on it.
Very nice guts build mine version is a little different though. starting stats 15Str, 12Dex, 15Con, 8Int, 10Wis, 11Cha Varient Human +1Con, +1Str Great Weapon Master Feat. Fighter 18 Archetype Champion Fighting Style Great Weapon & Archery ( lv 10) ASI [lv4 +2 Str] Lv 6 +2 Str Lv 8 +Crossbow Expert Lv 12 +2 Con Lv 14 +2 Con Lv 16 Tough Feat Skills Perception, Athletics, Persuasion, Intimidation, Survival. Last 2 levels Barbarian Alternatively you could go 15Str, 10Dex, 14Con, 13Int, 12Wis, 8Cha +1Str, +1Int, Great Weapon Master Feat 6Levels Fighter (Battle Master) 14 Levels Artificer (Armorer) Guardian and use the Arcane Propulsion Suit as the Berserker Armor Use infusions to increase power output, fire bolt for the Canon Repeating shot for infinite crossbow bolts.
@tankbuster1777 Depending on which time during the arc. Began at Neutral when joined Band of the Hawks, he shifts to Lawful Neutral, after leaving the Hawks and winning the freedom his alignment became lawful good ( only because he wanted to pursue his dream and be Griffith equal. In the end, when he was betrayed and marked for death, all his friends and allies were either killed, eaten, or other alignment shifted one last time to Chaotic Good, and remained that mostly throughout only caring about getting Griffith and helping Casta.
I would do this a bit differently. I'd pick Champion rather than BM, as I think it matches Guts' flavour better. I realize BM is basically just better, but Guts really doesn't seem like the kinda guy to get into calligraphy.
So I have an idea for a guts build that instead of using barbarian he’s a battlemaster fighter who has nine levels in Artificer: Artillerist so one you can get berserk armor plus fire ball ie guts cannon arm.
I've been thinking for a while, how would you build destiny classes, Hunters, Titans and Warlocks? It's a question I think of since you have to do all 4 subclasses for each. Just curious tbh, some could make easy sense while others would be much harder to add in.
Yes at the cost of exhaustion you get an extra attack as your bonus action, although there's a chance at an extra attack from great weapon master, this will guarantee it
@@Anto_85571 yep pretty much, and if you crit on one of those attacks, you don't even need to use frenzy because you'll get an extra attack as bonus action anyways thanks to great weapon master
That's a super tough question... I always enjoyed the super niche builds like sonic for the fastest character and one punch man for the biggest crit. But there are 4 builds from the past year that just really stick in my mind... Ichigo (that's my most popular video, but I generally just had plenty of fun with that) Joker Persona 5 (that's my longest video, but I really put a ton of effort into it, and really loved it) Then the big 2 were Sora from Kingdom Hearts and the double build for Cloud and Sephiroth. Both videos were pretty early in my channel, when I was just figuring out how to edit videos, the pacing was definitely a bit slower than it should be, and I had a ton to learn. But they were some of the first videos where I started using music, and just really started getting into it, despite their faults, I love those builds...
I disagree. Guts is Fighter 6/Weapon Master 7/Frenzy Berserker 7 in a 20 level classic game and Fighter 13/Weapon Master 7/Frenzy Berserk 10 in a 30 level epic game. He is really good with that sword and learns as he fights.
@@antoinehicks2681 The issue with the kensei is that it's a monk, and monks can't really wear armor while benefiting from anything else monk related, so probably wouldn't work super well with this build, but the features specifically of the subclass, I could see how those parts might fit a little bit
@@antoinehicks2681 Uh yeah, besides the mention of Ki in the weapon master prestige class, weapon masters don't really function like Kensai monks. If anything it would be a mix of like champion and brute (UA) kinda. There really isn't a 1-1
People don't bring up that guts make his own bombs, now i know he no blacksmith but i would add artificer to flavor his projectiles. But people get mad at me for doing that.
