THE BIODIGESTER
A biodigester is a technical solution for recovering organic waste used to produce a combustible gas (biogas) and a fertilizer (the digestate). The particularity of the biodigester is that the degradation is achieved by bacteria in an oxygen deprived environment, it is called anaerobic fermentation.
Biogas is a mixture of gases mainly containing methane, it can be used to supply a gas stove or boiler burner or as fuel for engines.

The biodigester documentation is online on our website: lowtechlab.org under the heading Explorer: lowtechlab.org/wiki/Biodigeste...
This system was done by Pierre & Thomas of the association Picojoule. His documentation is based on the books of Bernard LAGRANGE, Biomethane 1 & 2.
