I have questions please What size is the conduit pipe? And how long of the PVC should you get? And what's the name of that pipe cutter and what size is it?
@@iseetheglory4593 he answered all these questions in the video. He walks through Home Depot and shows the items price tags (with size and length) and mentions sizes and product names. You may to rewatch.
I have been watching literally dozens of tutorials on raised beds, hoops, and gardening in general. You by far are the BEST person doing tutorials out there! You give a real tutorial!!! Thank you very much! I’d give you a hundred likes if I could sweetheart.
I’m so proud of you son. I have sons about your age. Your family reminds me of my youngest son with the four children. Absolutely loved your video. You are a great teacher, so thorough leaving nothing to figure out on our own. Thanks so much, stay encouraged. God bless you and your family.
Another channel to add to my favorite list. I just don't even watch TV anymore because it's too depressing. Channels like yours are not only informational but they're also a great mental break. Thank you so much.
Yes, the TV stations are depressing and they all seem to have the same script... Over and over and over and over.. and often they are inaccurate...I quit watchcng them also.
Not to mention its called programming for a reason. The tv programs are used to program the minds of the masses. I’ve never felt more peaceful than when I stopped watching tv and started following Jesus Christ. He told me to turn off the tv in 2019 and start preparing for what’s to come. It wasn’t long after that that all the craziness started happening. He healed my spirit, my family and SO much more. I tried to watch something awhile back and immediately got a headache and felt like I was losing brain cells. Now I watch things like this to brush up on my skills and better prepare myself and my family. Now is the time to seek Jesus Christ, learn new skills, sharpen skills, and get prepared. The tv will prepare you for nothing but being compliant and brainwashed. Peace and Grace.
I seen this when you first did the video..but like to come back & see you do it again..I'm old haven't much money..workers have taken most of my gardening materials..so I look for things with easiest amount of tools to do my gardening... ur video is very good & not intimidating ... love Nana meyer
just found you and I am a woman....you have taught me how to do this by myself without the fussing of hubby. THANK YOU THANK YOU. I love your easy raised bed video.....saving them all.
Young man...so impressed.....you reply to everyone....and there are hundreds....BRAVO! I’m a 73yr old woman and you made me feel like I can do It! Love your calmness and your a family man...keep up to good work. A great America is build by families like you. 👍
Thanks for the kind words...sometimes I guess burned out replying, but I remember what I'm doing and how God has blessed me...i watch so many channels where I see no replies...and people really be having questions but they get no answers ...i just wanna be able to help n not just make money off views...
I can do this!! 👊🏽 Joined a garden club and got a raised bed in a community garden. Only my second year growing and I’m 72. I’m having so much fun and learning a lot.❤❤ thank you.
I love watching videos, that were made prior to the current year 2022, where they tell you the price of things... Like PVC pipe, is not a Dollar and change anymore. it is over $5 if you buy in bulk, and conduit is even more expensive. Although as a I mentioned. Because everything is so over inflated, there is more reason then ever to start your own vegetable garden. So, thank you for all your advice. We need it more now then ever.
Awesome video. Unbelievable that 3/4" pvc was $1.98 just 2 years ago. Pushing $6 each today! I'm building a hoop frame just like yours and struggling with the insane prices. Thanks for the detailed instructions. Peace to you my friend.
I have made 9 gauge wire hoops, electrical conduit hoops, pvc hoops, cattle panel hoops. You, sir, have a wonderful way of instructing! Looking forward to viewing more videos like this by you!!
Really? I didn’t know Home depot had one. Our nearest is an hour drive but our local Lowe’s has one. Does anyone know if Menards has one too? They are currently building a Menards here.
Wow good to know. Only time ive gotten a military discount is at my local thift store and it was probably because they ask each customer if they had served.
This is BY FAR THE MOST DOWN TO EARTH "HOW-TO" make your own garden - hoops ever! I love that your fuzzy math is JUST LIKE MINE! I really appreciate the trip to Home Depot, especially as you took your family! That is a true outing. God Bless
Watched this video this morning and went straight to the hardware store and bought all the pieces to put these together. Thank you for the thorough tutorial full of love!
I’m a “scavenger” and try not spend a lot of money on my garden so just an idea for folks.....if you have a dump/transfer station you can find scraps of rebar and conduit that have just been thrown away or if you know a plumber or cement worker they have scraps they would probably give you ! Great detailed instructions, well done, beautiful family !!! Blessings
Right on time. Great technique with the conduit/PVC combo. I am in the process of covering my beds with hoops. Deer and racoons destroyed my beds last season. No more! Thanks for sharing your precious family in the video -- beautiful! May the Most High continue to shower His blessing on you.
I love how you are really helping us. A lot of people just put out videos to highlight themselves. However, it is like you really care about helping your subscribers. Thanks!!
You do such a great job showing EVERY step. Even talking about fitting the materials into the car to get them home! You think of everything, MUCH APPRECIATED!
Your Children are beautiful ! What blessings they are and so well behaved in a store ! God Bless them. Bet they will grow up to Love growing their own food ! That's an important life skill . Thank you for the video . GGG ( Grow Grow Grow ! )
What a. lovely man you are, and clearly a fab dad too! Thank you for this great help, I never did this before, plus I am a single handed woman gardener of 70! I am from the UK, so will have to find this all at my local builders merchant I guess!🤔😉😘
Very thorough, very patient, easy and affordable. A real pleasure listening, watching and learning. He has helped me tremendously. Loved seeing the children.
Loved the video. It is great to see young families together - what you’re doing with gardening will pay your daughters dividends down the road. Great job, Mom and Dad.
Thank you so much! You explained it so well how how to do, and I love how you show where to get them. As a woman who isn't so handy your videos makes it so much easier for me to follow along. I'm so glad I found your channel! Please keep your videos coming! God bless you and your family!
Got a new serial viewer here 👀 I love how you explain every single detail. Even how to cut the pipes, take us to the store, tell us how much and where from, and a whole lot of other valuable knowledge. Thank you and keep it up!
Thank you for such a wonderful detailed video. I am an older female who loves to garden but very limited knowledge of power tools is very limited. This video was so helpful
I have wanted these row covers but couldn't them because of the rebar. In addition I had no way to cut the metal conduit pipe. Thank you so much for the great video. One final thing you appear to be a great dad! Your daughters are lovely and so much more behaved in a store than my grandchildren.
Thanks for this video.I just spent an hour at Home Depot trying find products to build a hoop for my raised bed using stakes and irrigation piping as suggested by another gardening you tuber. I ended up not purchasing anything because it was way to costly. You saved the day! I'm definitely subscribing
I just started the video (2 min. in), but I already love this guy and his video! SO helpful for those of us starting out. I love how he does not assume anything: "This is called conduit...you have to get it in from the electrical department..." I SO needed this video! Thank you!!!
I never knew how the PVC was held in place. ""electrical conduit "" That's eye opening! Just sticking the PVC in the ground didn't make it secure enough. Thanks so much.
Good morning, I followed your instructions and made my hoops. I didn’t have to buy the pipe cutter because I thought I would ask Home Depot if they cut it and they said yes so they cut them for me. That saved me $16.00. I did them alone and it took me about 40minutes. Super super easy. Thank you.
That's great to know that they will cut for you. A project I can do myself without ask the BF to do it for me. I can't wait to get started. TY for this video!!
Your tutorials are awesome. Thank you so much. Saved me a lot of headache on raised beds. I saw the first video too on how simple it is to assemble the garden bed. Blessing to you. I am so proud of you. Thanks. Prayers to you and your family.
Just seen your channel in my feed and YOU HAVE ALL THE DETAILS AND EVEN A FIELD TRIP THAT SHOWS YOU EXACTLY WHERE AND WHAT AND HOW MUCH YOU NEED AND COST ....now this is a COMPLETE TUTORIAL that I ❤️ to see and for that kind of info i gladly will subscribe! Your girls are ADORABLE !🤗 Thanks!
Tulle, like people make tutus from, is so much cheaper than bird cloth and works wonderfully. Completely reusable. You are my favorite gardener. I’m enjoying it.
I love the way you explain the process. You are very knowledgeable and maybe more importantly, you’re real. You understand that we need all the details and to be shown where to get the supplies. I’ve done hundreds of diy’s but still appreciate the instruction from beginning to end. Please keep posting! You’re wonderful!
You are such an inspiration! I've been binge-watching your videos. Thank you for so much information. Love you and your beautiful family. Also, love what you and your wife have done to your house and yard since living there. God bless and protect each one of you always.
I been gardening for 5 or 6 years. This so reasonated with me I went to Home Depot (without my hubby. I have 12 boxes and it took him all day to build a hoop house.. I didn’t asked for anymore...lol).
Thank you, new gardener Im in UK. Made my first raised bed now going to hoop it your method. Appreciate your info, has given me the confidence to " have a go".
Your tutorial is fantastic! You cover every detail, which I need for visual learning. Showing where to get the materials is way more than I ever expected and its such a helpful detail. Not editing the cutting part is also a great call. Thank you!
Thanks for mentioning the size of the electrical conduit. Video was very clear on the size of the PVC...not so on the conduit. Great method here which I will be putting to good use.
A good teacher explains what he/she is thinking and doing while doing it. They explain why they don’t do something also. You are great at teaching! -retired teacher. Keep up the great job!
I love how simple and how you only need minimal supplies for this tutorial. Too many others have way too many little parts for me and it overwhelms me. Thank you for your time and all of the information you shared! ❤️❤️
I just came across your channel. Thank you very much for taking the extra step going to Home Depot. This will help keep the stray cats from pooping in my raised beds.
Gave me a great idea with the conduit! Thank you! I’m a 61 year old woman and I’m just starting a garden with 4 raised beds (made out of cinder blocks-3 blocks high) and holes in the corners are ready to roll! Your girls are precious too .
I love how you explained it. Like a friend came over and went over each part. Bless you brother for sharing your expertise, am a new gardener and dont know what am doing. So many videos and youre the one that I understand best. Love your background and garden.
Thank you! I love ❤️ your video I’m planning to make a small greenhouse. Your tutorial was very edifying. Love your family so precious. May The Most High continue to increase you. Thanks again
Grow Family Network it’s my first time seeing your channel. Your land grand and you really have a lot going on there what a blessing you have a grow beautiful family and garden and on top of that you are being a bless to others 👍🏾🙌🏾 I wish I can show you my very tiny garden, I manage to sow a lot; cabbages, callalo , eggplant, bitter melon , bora , cucumber, cherry tomatoes, collards, sweet peppers, and hot peppers, scallions, Oregon, Rosemary. Was having trouble with the inserts especially that little white butterfly eating up the collard greens. Oh bora is that Asian beans your wife were measuring to your daughter. In my country it’s called Bora! I love to stir fry it with lots of onions, garlic, peppers, etc etc. so so good I’m pretty sure your wife cooks it well. Thanks for sharing. Keep enjoying the gifts of life. 👍🏾
Grow Family Network I was born in GUYANA 🇬🇾 South American. But of course you probably know our Origin home is Africa because of the fact that our ancestors were scattered all over the diaspora many years ago. I suspecting you were born in one of the Caribbean because of the gold tooth you have, I could be wrong! 😊 not too Americans does that. Have an increased day of prosperity.
You're the best Tutorial Master ever!!! I have watched several tutorials on how to create hoops for raised beds but yours is by far the most explanatory and thanks for taking the time to us to Home Depot to show where we can get the materials.
Oh my goodness! Where was this video before I bought expensive re bar for my first bed? I will definitely get the conduit for the next three beds (two which I have to make). THANK YOU!!!
I am recently widowed and I am having to do stuff on my own. Just wanted to tell you I enjoy your videos because you explain things simple enough for someone who hasn’t done these things before and is on a budget....bless you!
Great job man . Simple explanation ,good details and voila a good protection for the plants.thanks for showing the video. God bless you and your family.
After I watch the morning news, you're up next! You have saved me ( 3-year full-time gardener @79 years). Your "production crew" reminds me of my great grandchildren! Sweet! Currently my wife and are hopefully in our last year of renting and last year of "container gardening" for me ( less expensive learning lessons). We are looking forward to practicing what YOU preach on a garden we can call home. We live in one of those crazy mid-zones where the growing options are large ( Independence Kansas) which is in what we call the "4 State Area", Southeast Kansas, Northeast Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. We can possibly grow anything but elephants with our fairly good soil. Coming from Southern Missouri roots, I like to think it's "in-the-blood", but I'm not a know it all! My thanks to you and your family for making a "young gardener's" life brighter! Sincerely, "Doc Fuzz"
Add at least one straight piece across the top for additional vertical support so your hoops stay straight upright and wont flop over when your adding any sort of covering. It can be on top of the hoop or under. Your preference. Also, using the pipe cutter. Close the cutter with your pipe resting between the 2 wheels that way your get an easier spin and the score line will stay true. The First spin should be light pressure to score then tighten slightly spin tool around pipe then tighten and reverse the spin in the opposite direction tighten and work the cutter back and forth making full rotations and that pipe will be cut in seconds. Great tutorial.
Wow! I've been looking for an easy way to build some hoops without spending a ton... for a couple years. And here I am again on the hunt and this is it!!! ❤️
Just thank you. I'm sat in my kitchen on a very rainy morning in Bromley, South London and thought I'd look for some tutorials on how to build hoop protection and your video fits the bill. I love the fact that you filmed in the DIY store, so useful. I won't be flying the odd 2000 Miles to Home Depot but will buy my supplies in my local store. Hoping this finds you and family well in these strange time. Peace out from England.
Thank You for the great idea. I'm going to use it for our 100+ summer days (I live in the county of Los Angeles, California ) for a shade cover . Boy does it gets hotter every year. 🔥🌡️ I know your folks and family are proud of you for gardening. Keep your kids involved in gardening. It's a wonderful treasure and heritage to pass on to them. Maybe one will be a Master gardeners. Or will go to school for horticulture. Anyways keep the good work up. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Best wishes for you and your ❤️ family, Noramae (Cricket) Gomez
Very good information. I like not only how you break down the steps in the garden, but how you break down the cost layout onsite at the store. You made no assumptions about your audience; sometimes going to the lowest common denominator is the best teaching option. And by doing so, you’ve enlightened not only the neophyte, but you’ve also given the more experienced gardener some information to chew on. Thank you for your input to my gardening knowledge base. I’ve known how to make hoop tunnels for quite a while, but I’ve never actually seen it done. You have, therefore, informed my skill set. And that’s a good thing. We’re moving to the upper Pacific NW next month, so my gardening is going from South Texas to far Western Washington. Not as cold as further inland because of the Pacific currents, but chilly much of the year with lots of rain. As we are returning to a home we bought two decades ago, I know where my raised beds will be and how I will align them. With your input, I also know I better get those hoops up fast, because we’ll be back in a forested area, with a state park at the end of our property. Rodents, deer, coyotes, owls, hawks, eagles (yes, bald eagles!) are in and around us at all times. Thank you for your input, my friend, and happy gardening. On an off-topic note: All of those beautiful little girls in your family! Young man, LOAD THE SHOTGUN NOW! That’s all I’ll say on that subject. =)
Loving your videos, very informative and down to earth, I love to garden and grow food and preserve food for people, please please would love to see more and more of your videos! Thank you so much and God bless you and your family.
Listen to the wind(God)-(that voice Inside)- that felling..let that lead you....when you put your feet in the right direction He will direct your pathway
Thank you for sharing how to put a raised bed in. You are great at helping people help them selves to provide their own food and not rely on store produce. This is so simple for anyone to do and I love how you talk about what it cost and the safe ways to put it together. 👍😊❤️
Loved how you went into the hardware store to shows us what to buy. I have all the tools but a table clamp, a clamp can help this old lady to cut that electrical conduit. 😊
I used hoolahoops for 1$ each. I opened them up and stuck the ends in the ground. I took some paracord to loop over each hoop and tied it to the ends of the beds. Total cost 6$ per bed. Lol.
Great video, i loved the adjustments. So many times i try to hammer something and whatever is in the way. Your ideas are simple economical and adaptable. Thanks.
This is an absolute amazing, informative video. I like when you took me to Home Depot to find the exact items needed and mindful of cost. It seems you presented a raw video, simple delivery and your family is part of the team as it should be! You keep doing what you do, loved the interaction with your children who are so well behaved, your congenial character that made the video so easy to listen to and will serve me well for what I plan to set up. You nailed it brother!! Adel in Florida
Hope it helps up I like it has helped me....if the deer or rabbits start getting you,,, get some of that garden netting it will make a world of difference...little pest you might still have to spray
Love this! Thank you so much!!! I had no clue how to do any of this and I feel much more confident about it now! Definitely going to check out your other videos!
