You can put 3 or 4 in a row, so while getting raidet, you put them(in the day) on and can peak next to them. The light is so bright, that the enemy nearly cant see you.
Yay :)) It costs basically nothing to incorporate and night is 15 minutes every 45. It's the kind of thing you're really happy to have at those exact moments when you wish u had it
I like putting one behind the wall of my airlock, with a hidden pressure pad in the airlock linked to a blocker/branch strobe circuit so anybody standing in the airlock is bombarded with bright (but not too bright) light and the loud sound of the searchlight toggling on. Basically the strobe light item but 40x bigger and it actually works lol
The ramp peaks are my favorites by far, I will definitely start adding searchlights to them if I manage to get them before getting offlined/server dies. Thanks!
btw if you liked my storytime stuff in particular, there's a base that's now out of date, but I wrote western themed music for it etc. "trinity star", maybe u'll like :) It's way more heavy on storytelling than the Temple
We added 4 of them to the end of ramp peeks. But we had already used 2 car ramps instead of a ramp and stairs. I can get a Use promp thru the ceiling but not operating yet. Further testing will commence :) I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this one.
That’s a cool trick and would be extremely useful is group bases. Before watching the video I thought you were going to use heartbeat sensors to turn on/off searchlights corresponding to an enemy’s location. Basically a tracker using spotlights.
@@GameLightz Yeah, you wouldn’t be able to track players, but you would be able to light up the general direction they’re at. Imagine if you could put flashlights in autoturrets lmao.
What would really make this better is if you can setup electricity circuit for these Search Lights that you can control with CCTV Cameras and a Computer Station, so when someone jumps on the Computer Station, they can control the cameras, by looking around, and while controlling those cameras it also moves the search lights too, meaning you have 1 person manning the cameras while the other is shooting at the enemy players that the lights shine on. Or alternatively having automatic targeting with CCTV Camera's that will automatically follow players that are in view and moves the searchlights.
Well you can make a light traps. Put some turrents into a room and a searchlight in middle. Set it on trapdoor and once enemy triggers it inside your base, they wont see shit infront of them.
Good stuff dude. I'm in a bind: I want you to blow up and get more followers because you damn well deserve it, but I also want to keep all these juicy tricks to myself...
A friend showed me your temple base design, and I absolutely loved it, and subbed immediately. Lovely edits. Which software do you use to edit your videos by the way?
I use shotcut (freeware) for editing video and Gimp (freeware) for adding all the graphics and texts and make the thumbnails. I use OBS (take a guess) to capture the videos :)
Danggggg I built your dream trio base, and then I saw this video. Doesnt seem to work with just the ramps, must need steps. Any Idea's if you've already built the ramps? I guess maybe softside the ramps out and rebuild with steps is the only option?
There is a HUGE bug in rust right now. Line of sight is completely broken. This will likely get fixed in the update this thursday. Until then you can first place the box, then the stairs.
First of all, thanks. Secondly, hours and more hours. Whole days put into every video :) Ultimately after a bunch of videos, I can say that the only difference between something meh and something good is hours.
A great many. Many little improvements. And also one remixed version with closed bunkers and widegap shooting floors. I'm doing a new video updating it soon.
@@GameLightz it is the best base design just go more in depth on it provide more options and stuff. That base is really good especially that ramp shooting floor. Nothing beats that.
the bigger downside is if your on a facepunch server your gonna get aimlocked before you even make it up there to place the light, because facepunch admins are almost non existant
That's somewhat unfair, I put a lot of hours into this video, making the music, editing, showing a cool new mechanic, trying to make it as entertaining as possible :) I guess it's the thing about being a youtuber. Finding out just how many hours of work goes into every bit of content, I can't ever give ppl thumbs down anymore, if just out of a kind of respect for the work put in :)
