Its really good that you’re showing us the mistakes you’re making so we can see how you’re correcting them, a very refreshing thing to see and very relatable to those who are still learning 👍🏻 So quick question, I’ve been a MQL4 developer since Moses parted the Red Sea, is Jupyter for MQL5 the equivalent for MetaEditor for MQL4?

Hi Ritvik, question; I’m trying to learn MQL5 for the MetaTrader 5 trading platform and I know it accepts Python and I rather learn Python (which is much easier to learn) but Python needs the MT5 Library installed and I’m worried this will slow the EA too much and your faced with slippage all the time. Please share your thoughts on this.

22:42 why is that close order using sell_price ? which uses .bid and not .ask, isn't the open position a buy type ?

You need to keep it open as the python package is just a wrapper.

Quick question sir. Delving deeper into algorithmic trading, I’ve found that mere backtesting isn’t sufficient and processes like out-of-sample backtesting, Sample parameter optimization, walk-forward optimization and Monte Carlo Simulation are viltal to creating a solid system. Question is: how do you conduct these tests on (or off) MT4/5 with Python? Cheers

It is very good video, I have just came across this, it is amazing to see python and mt5 combination, I am completely new to coding will your course help to learn and create the code for Meta Trader 4/5, I am into forex trading since last 8 yrs, now I want to explore the coding part as well as I do lot of R&D on trading strategies, and I have many proven strategies which has to be back tested at least 3yrs and without automation I can't test it manually, So I am planning to take your course but not sure will this help me find the way? please help me understand this..

trying out this structure but with a different strategy and when i start the code it runs correctly but once there is a trade and then it's closed, after when you actually get the next long/short signal it sometimes doesn't send a trade even though it prints "Buy/Sell Order Placed", do you maybe know why?

It should not happen. Please check if there are already some long or short positions in the portfolio?

hi i have problem please help me sir, i live in turkey and we still use gmt+3 timezone but mt5 i think use gmt 0. when i take data always 3 hours delay, how i can take real time data ? for example current time :2023-12-15 01.00 but in code last data is "49 2023-12-14 22:00"
