I used to love playing puck in Dota2. As soon as I started playing pocket all his trickery and tom fuckery felt so natural, but now he has a super useful ult! Love it
the heavy melee and barrage blew my mind, i subbed just now when i saw your haze build guide. I feel like my brain unlocked an extra 5% on these guides
Hey smeefu! You have quickly become the deadlock content creator whose opinion I trust the most. I would love to see you do a tier list or character ranking type of video. If you were to give the name of the build you recommend with each that would be even better! But no matter what you’re doing, I love the content!
crazy build! and full agree on the lifesteal, such an effective mid game and end game strategy sure veilwalker can be strong for ganks but late game you don't have the time to worry about finding a veil to walk through
I love this build.. in a vacuum. I think that abusing the silly amounts of lifesteal over barriers is the right choice, but there are quite a few anti lifesteal items in this game that can completely shut down your survivability if they see this pattern. Another thing I think Pocket just needs 100% of the time is duration. Longer barrage buff time = staying in the fight for longer, ADDITIONALLY, means that his ult becomes 35% more threatening. It's the best damage buff for his ult which FORCES teams to run debuff remover. Which brings me to my next item rec, refresher. Why have 1 full combo when can have 2? Pocket opperates in bursts of dmg after stacking his barrage, this gives you DOUBLE the up time, ATOP refreshing his item cds, ATOP giving him a SECOND ULT. Meaning that you can once again life steal a ton (since u have 2 massive bursts of dmg) AND cuck anybody using debuff remover. ALSO SPIRITUAL OVERFLOW! Please look at it I am begging you, It will not dissapoint. Also this is personal opinion, but I believe pocket doesn't need kevlar (especially since like you said, barriers arn't great late game anyways and I don't think 40 temp spirit is the best anyways) however, is a great optional item IF you are getting giga focused every engage. Although, on pocket you shouldn't be the engage anyways so I think having this problem means that the player in question is at fault for dying. Love the build, will definetely use some of it in my own, just thought I would leave some thoughts here for the giga chad pocket community.
Your guides have me rolling people on Pocket, instantly helped me click with the character. I’d love to see some more gameplay clips, the toughest part of the game for me rn is mid/endgame macro
You got a sub from me. It’s so hard to find intelligent guides going over competitive builds for heroes right now. I’ve been resorting to watching front page games to learn things like the framework for the pocket build you are using.
@@smeefu honestly i’ll probably try playing him without it cuz it’s pretty expensive tbh. maybe he does more damage without it. anyway thanks for the video the infernus one really helped me out
@@eebbaa5560 don’t get me wrong kinetic feels great and i have used it before a lot on him, i just haven’t missed it since i dropped it and just focused my spirit / green items more :) thanks for the kind words tho :)
Interesting build, reach is too good to pass up though imo. Helps his already negative spirit res and has essentially doible the effect on him as it improves the radius of his aoe skills. And its only 500. Plus infufser is nuts too for laning and early ganks.
one item I think that has potential is suppressor. i think it's a great early item to help your team since affliction is such a long debuff that also procs suppressor debuffs.
Consistent boundless spirit hater lmao I have no opinion on it but trust you for sure because I have been using your infernus guide/build and have around 70% winrate, and positive kd/good post game stats for nearly all of them. very excited for this one since I've been messing with pocket some! Barrage punch feels so good to land and has almost become second nature. The instant reload tech on the suitcase definitely feels unintended lmao
Amazing video, the most logical build guide ever! and i want to ask a question below: This comment is from 2024/9/17, and the Phanton Strike damage is now 78 instead 197 in the video, so i'm confused about should i still get Phanton Strike?
Hey so I recently started playing pocket and I’ve been improving. I’ve gotten very used to the majestic leap, warp stone, kinetic jump build. I had a question, how does your middle game engage change with your build? I don’t doubt it will pop off late game but ig I’m just wondering what some of the biggest gameplay changes would be! Regardless very nice video will def be trying this one out!
@@TDFish-Rain to be honest i still go majestic leap often, dont really miss warpstone and kinetic at all as just majestic makes it very easy to get on top of people and nuke them, but even when skipping majestic and going straight for phantom strike, all it takes is a few extra minutes of farming or a team fight and now you have the best engage in the game with that item. i do miss majestic leap when i don’t have it, but also sometimes when i do have it i don’t get that much out of it. its like a game to game thing
How do you feel about Cold Front? I always felt like it did good work early on, since you're getting close enough to hit Satchel and it provides even more burst. Also, you mentioned Diviner's Kevlar bonus spirit effecting the ult, but it's a buff that's placed on you for 15s when you ult that increases your spirit, so any spell cast afterwards will also gain the bonus damage from increased spirit.
hey great guide, was just wondering why the swap on ability upgrade order from prioritizing barrage to getting level 2 cape and level 2 suitcase? (in current build order)
@@DevBird if you like it then it can work, i just don’t like how it feels in pocket, and since im gonna spend flex slots on purple items for this hero i find it difficult to fit in the build
If barriers don't take your resists into account does that mean that early barriers also aren't negatively impacted by Pocket's innate -15% spirit resist? If so I see why you build spirit shield early!
the spirit power doesnt do much for pocket since his base damages are so high, the lifesteal is nice for sure i just find it hard to fit in the build on this hero :)
Does resist go below 0? since most heroes have 0% resist at lvl 1, if it doesnt go below 0 then getting both mystic strike and mystic vulnerability is too much.
yo man, ive been loving this game but idk if its my PC or just the game being early access but me and some of my friends pcs cant handle the game at all, i run it on like 30-50 fps meanwhile games like OW and r6 siege, LoL, cs2 and even elden ring ran on at least 60 fps but usually 100-200. any help?
@@dyslexicape4249 yeah i guess i never really like champions like that in league either. i hate adc probably one of my least favorite roles tbh. i kind of hate powerscaling champs lol. i know infernus is kind of like that too, but i enjoy him for some reason. i main pocket though
different playstyle. definitely not weak laning, and not late midgame spike at all. leap is literally in the build, i just say i dont always choose it. warpstone is great, but optional for sure
