Hello modelers! Welcome to my channel.
Today, I'll take a look at building the base for my Mig-29. It's gonna be a simple concrete airstrip made from styrofoam, plywood, and cork.

Excellent work fellow modeller 👍. At first when you cut out the spot for the patch I thought you may submerge the patch in clear resin in the recess to mirror the gloss of the surrounding area and make it dust proof. Very nice the way you did it though as the contrast of the patch vs the gloss black looks great.

Yes, that was the goal, to play with the combination of glossy and matte surfaces. The model is tucked away in a glass case; I'm not worried about dust.👍Thank you. 🫡

That wax a excellent base build, the Sqd patch was a great touch, the ladder and towing bar were also a great addition, you have yourself another subscrber very bedt regsrds from Australia

Is there a reason you seem to have used some of the worst foam I have ever seen for this lol? My understanding that usually you use the purple stuff (XPS foam). Was this cheaper? edit: nevermind looks like you covered over it to not have to sand off all those diamonds

I had this foam lying around in the barn after renovating the house.😅 It only serves as a base material to hold the shape and is completely covered, so I had no issues with it. And there's still some left, so I'll use it in a future video.😁
