Something I forgot to mention, if you want to increase your mass limit to make additions, you just need to find spots for more landing gear. I'll be testing this soon to give some verified spots for additional landing gear that'll keep the original build's feel. :) Original Posts: www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/16egij3/rocinante_its_spanish_for_workhorse/ www.reddit.com/r/TheExpanse/comments/16eglx2/rocinante_its_spanish_for_workhorse/ www.reddit.com/r/StarfieldShips/comments/16egp4q/rocinante_its_spanish_for_workhorse/
I've watched the entire series twice and everytime I come across it on my streamer I'm tempted to watch it again. It is the BEST sci fi sceries I have ever scene. Anyone that hasn't watched it, do yourself a favor and tune in. You won't be disappointed. As you watch the last season, if you don't want to read the books, at least read up on the happenings to understand the ending.
I love The Expanse so much. It is probably the most accurate science fiction show ever made. It takes some liberties of course but man. The attention to detail in this show
One of my favourite parts of Starfield is that you can dogfight like in the expanse. If someone is on your tail you can turn around while keeping your trajectory and firing, then boosting another direction to dodge missiles. It’s so fun xD
I've been waiting for someone tondo this. I'm role playing Amos right now but don't have enough credits yet to build my own ship. Thanks for the guide!
Can't agree more with all of the commenters here, To Anyone that has been playing Starfield and is loving it, I absolutely recommend watching the Expanse right after if you haven't seen it This game has given me a mix of Expanse-Mass Effect vibes and I'm here for it all the way!
Man thank you so much I was requesting other ship builders to make a copy of the Rocinante, the Expanse is my favorite space show and book series. Such an excellent series, great actors portraying excellent characters in a realistic solar system.
Shame it is not viable to build like the Roci internally, meaning the decks are rotated 90deg so standing means you are correctly aligned for the vector of thrust. Nice build
Holy shit i only just realized we were talking on reddit about this beauty of a build!! Super excited to see this! only change i made was the landing gears, i found a 4/4 underbelly one so it made my life easier since it only needed 1, letting me put turrets on her and just enjoying the flying
I realized a little later that I probably could have replaced the Deimos hull in the engine half with an Accu-Lander 11 for more wiggle room on the mass limit, I'll make sure I add something to the pinned comment about that!
@@VantaGenesis I love it all the same, I even played around a bit and reduced the reactor to a Grade B DC303 fast ignition reactor to make it a little smaller and more in line with the show version!
Ok. You made that awesome video before and felt like you could add some details here and there, and expected the next one to be a bit more polished because you do amazing work... BUT, you literally went 10 levels above and made a great video, with all those details I expected, then came with the best tutorial, straight to the point and easy to follow, and ON TOP OF THAT made it look like the shortest video I have seen all day, I wanted more of it, because it was so satisfying to watch... that is just huge... I'm staying here for a long time man!
I have been searching for Rocinante ship on YT almost everyday in the hopes I would get to see one! Very cool. Congrats! Stargate SG-1 Prometheus coming soon?! ;)
Think you could try building a Defender-class light corvette from SWTOR or maybe a bigger challenge of Hammerhead-class cruiser? great videos btw, came across my recommended, so yay algorithm!
I found those a week after finishing the build, unfortunately I dont think I had a high enough level at the time of building to access them. Just a downside to making these so soon after the game's release, mixed with my inexperience with tutorials, but I'm working on it :) Thanks for the feedback!
@@archibaldoctavion3851There's already a few mods out there, I know one gives your ship like 500k cargo, and I've seen more reasonable ones that just exploit the payloads perk to make it way more effective. I built a Roci inspired ship at one point but yeah I had to sacrifice on looks to slap on big cargo bays to make the ship usable.
sry but did i miss something ? the build has 6 mauler 104 kanons (auto incl.) 2 rocket luncher. but in the gameplay video you can see anti shield weapon to?
You're right, the gameplay was recorded a day or two after the tutorial segment, and by that point I forgot that I changed some of the weapons to anti-shield. Good catch!
I don't have any mods installed, to make sure everyone can follow along with my tutorials without any issues :) My specs are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i7-12700k GPU: MSI RTX 4090 RAM: 32gb / 4000mhz PSU: 1000w Three SSDs, three HDDs, 20TB total I built it this way primarily for workstation tasks like high res photo/video editing, but the smooth game performance is a fantastic bonus!
@@VantaGenesis awesome hardware almost identical to mine, except I have 3090ti - the game performance is pretty good I just hope they fix the micro stutters soon. I get stutters when opening/closing the scanner or switching weapons when I have legendary weapons equipped. It’s a common issue from what I’ve researched, something specific to legendary weapons themselves and how they’re visible on your back when equipped but not in use.
I believe I either found them at New Atlantis or Akila City. Also keep in mind that some parts require a higher level, I was around level 15 when I put together this build.
I mention at 1:55 , I got all parts at my own outpost using a ship builder landing pad. This was to make sure everything can be found without scrambling between landing zones, the only requirement is to be at least level 15 with Piloting Level 4 and Starship Design Level 1 :)
If anybody can help I have a few questions. I have not messed with outposts yet, how hard will it be for me to the the ship builder landing pad? Is the ship being built from scratch, or is it being modified from an existing one? I'm currently level 29, are there any specific skills I need unlocked or upgraded for any of this?
The ship builder landing pad should be accessible from any level, you can build it without building anything else at an outpost, you just need a handful of raw materials which will be shown in the outpost builder. Otherwise you can build it piecemeal over an existing ship, and simply fly between ports until you have all of the parts and have made a full conversion. I personally took a stolen ship to my outpost and deleted all of the parts for some extra credits to build, then built the ship from scratch on the newly blank canvas. You'll need Piloting Level 4, as it is a Class-C ship for the show-accurate thrusters, and Starship Design Level 1 for the upgraded version of the Phobos cockpit. Hope this helped!
The 20.3 isn't entirely necessary because they're all the same aside from mass and cargo capacity, but you may need to level up your Starship Design perk to access that specific version
Would that also explain why I cant get the R-3000 Alpha Grave Drive? I was under the impression I only needed Ship Design 1? My bad. Thank you.@@VantaGenesis
@TheGrogin13 Although the game doesn't tell you directly, many components have a level requirement as well. The R-3000 has a requirement of Level 15, and you can see most other component stats and requirements on a website called inara.cz/starfield Hope this helps!
I know I got the cowlings from New Atlantis, you may also need to level up further to unlock them for use. Hopefully Bethesda changes this at some point and shows you the parts grayed out with their requirements to earn.
I've been looking at ships to build next, after the guides for my Consular-class Frigate from Star Wars and Pillar of Autumn from Halo go live, and the Donnager is definitely a contender :)
Honestly just do the new Atlantis glitch. I had 300k credits and then gone straight to NG+10. I didn't feel like making money again and just got myself 4.5 million credits that way. Took like three hours.
WHO'S GONNA FEAST ON EARTH'S SKY AND DRINK THEIR RIVERS DRY (MMC!) WHO'S GONNA STOMP THEIR MOUNTAINS IN TO FINE MARTIAN DUST? (MMC!) UNTIL THE RAINS FALL HARD ON OLYMPUS MONS, WHO ARE WE? (MMC!) FYI you should rename it back to Tachi before my dudes find you. (Well done Beratna)
I don't have access to the turret variant for some reason, the only turret I have access to is the pulse laser. Luckily the loadout is pretty easily interchangeable
@@TheGr8one1022 it's not awesome, it's a brick. It may be awesome in the context of the show, but in starfield, that cringe space fantasy you seem to hate, it is lame and ugly. I prefer nice aesthetics when I am playing a ship in my cringe space fantasy. Also, all scifi is fantasy because it's not real. You making that odd statement makes you look cringey and a tryhard making believe you aren't a nerd like the rest of us. What an idiot
