Interesting conversation. I haven't really considered carrying a mini-EDC kit on a key ring before, mostly because I'm worried the excess weight might damage the steering wheel of my vehicle. But I can see some value in something like that. I would have loved a quick introduction to all of the tools/gadgets you have on your key ring, though as a new viewer, I might have just missed that episode. I'll check. My current EDC consists of a leather pocket sheath that holds a small Olight, a butane lighter, spare office door key (in case I lock my regular keys in the office), and a compact pen. I carry a decent folding knife with glass breaker, along with a spare magazine and a pocket pistol in appropriate holsters. That's when I'm not working. On duty, I usually have the above, plus a TQ, pepper spray, minor IFAK, and a multi-tool. I liked the suggestion on the Smart Key. Going to buy one of those to help organize the work keys. So thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to subscribe.
I have a sort of elaborate set up and it all hangs from a countycomm 4" blk coated A&P keyring. It's never come unscrewed and I've never had a problem with it.
Green lantern ring is more powerful assuming you can recharge it. But if not granting powers, the best fictional EDC would be a storage ring, or a ring of rooms.
"If you could grab 1 EDC item from a frictional character, what would it be?" Very easy answer for me (and probably one of the reasons I love EDC, spoiled as a child, hahaha )... the bag of "Sport Billy" NOTHING IS MORE EDC THAN SPORT BILLYS BAG!!!
