I usually run a balanced team because I try to analyze my opponents habits and punish them for it. Thus a team that can switch its play style on the fly is the best for me. So I have Rosa for shooting on opponents who aren’t aggressive. Peach who will destroy slow teams. Waluigi who is good on fighting offensive teams. Then I’m still trying to figure out the last character, but right now it is DK in the back because he has good defense and can get the ball back into our possession quickly from the goalie blocking a shot.

Passing is like not the most important and yet it's one of the stats that you should never ever completely ignore unless for your striker if you just want them to be amazing at shooting. But having decent passing on all your other characters is so good to actually be able to make plays
@@calex5591 I'd say any support should have at least 13 passing. If they are strictly speed and passing, then 18. Arbitrary numbers for sure but that's just where I feel a difference.
Thank you for the guide. I literally just got Mario Strikers Battle League today and have been trying what I thought might work. Simply put.. it doesn't do what I want. I wanted to go for a very heavy passing and shooting team, like I had in Strikers Charged. Your breakdown of the difference was very helpful and explains a lot. My current setup is pretty much hinges on Luigi getting hyper strikes. For a time, the high technique was helping on normal shots, but it's a bit too unreliable.
My team Captain Rosalina (max Shooting) Wind: Mario and Bowser optimized for shots I use them in a mixed way mainly in high defense, when the enemy attacks using short passes the game in midfield Defense: Toad I use it to intersect against very fast attacks, in the game it is very difficult to defend in an optimal way, so a fast defense does not steal the ball, however, it always interrupts in a very optimal way. I also use it to go out with a quick game to enable Rosalina or Bowser
What I liked running to be cheeky was Wario as striker and 3 Toads that are buff and fast. The ball just passes around and is hard to chase. Also cross pass into shots work well on all of them
I use power fwd Wario as captain (speed bowser with a little more passing), striker Rosalina and spd/tech peach on the wings, and spd/str maxed waluigi on defense. Peach is honestly the glue that holds this whole team together in the midfield.
I was literally going to ask about this after your next builds video or at least something like this, like what what would think the meta team would (Rosalina/Mario, Peach, ???, Waluigi), how would would build a team for your strikers so for Mario would he basically have the same team as Rosa and the same goes for the Power Strikers Bowser and Wario? Either way looking forward to the next builds video (hoping its either DK, Weegee, or OH BABY Wario) seriously good job on the builds only 6 left to go
I don't think a meta team will exist, but Mario/Rosalina will probably be on every team. Other slots can go to flex picks, it doesn't really matter so long as your team works together.
They really need to let us properly customize our teams in club. Super frustrating all this customization locked behind that mode and unless you have members (if you can even get a handful) willing to setup their striker for your ideal team setup you are more or less stuck with random nonsense and being at a bit of a disadvantage to other teams that can. Not to mention this seems like their "premier" mode and a core part of the game is missing.
@@josh872 ya it's fine. I have the physical copy so it's no issue. But if you have the digital version, make sure you set your switch as the primary console on your main account account and it will gameshare no problem. There is also lots of videos on gamesharing on the switch if you're not quite sure how to do it. And when you're setting up your alt accounts, just have them be 12 or under and you won't need to create a new email for each account, they will all share yours.
I like running Rosalina as my captain with Bowser, Waluigi, and Peach. While Peach could also fit the captain role along with waluigi as I have their speed really high, Rosalina is an absolute unit taking shots so I trust her most up front.
I’ve been running speed Bowser as my captain since he’s got high strength and shooting, he can smack just about anyone away so I get the ball first and make close range shots. Mario and Peach on my wings as long range shooter and speed passer respectively, and Walu on defense.
Been trying for a bit High shooting and technique Rosalina and mario (flanker), dk (cdm, high str and passing), and high str and speed wal. Working good exc galaxy mode where everybody apparently has to perfect pass and have a 25 str or be continuously intercepted and mugged if you perfect pass. DK had str 24, pass 17. He is the CDM doing give and go, assists and setups for Mario and Ros. Ros is sniper and Mario more like sniper/close striker etc. I’m still working on perfect passing and better execution w perfect shots and getting there. Thoughts?
I have him as captain with 22 str and 21 shooting. He's sluggish as all hell but with a Peach and Toad on my team it helps balance it out and my Bowser wins face-offs pretty much every time for that early pressure
Try my toad build, I use him at either the 1 or 4. He has 15 strength, 18speed and 16 passing. Can be that standout defender or captain while still being able to make plays by running and passing
My best Team is: Captain: Rosalina or Mario (both of them are optimized on Schooting and technique In the midfield two times toad optimized on Speed and Passing and in the Back is Waluigi waiting, with realy high Strength and Speed parameters. I think you've chosen the same gear on him 😆 Edit : your Toad-Gear seams to be also pretty simmilar to mine. 🤔
It's because the characters you can select in the ranked matches are based off of everyone's individual "Your Striker". If someone joins your club and makes a striker that's the same character as yours then that's how you would get multiple of the same character, else if you have less than 4 club members the rest will be randomly generated with basic characters. Elsewhere in the comments some folks have found a way to cheese the nintendo online to get up to 8 characters through the family bundle if you're looking for getting more characters for your club on one console.
Captain: Toad Striker: Mario All-Rounder: Peach Defender: Waluigi Toad functions similarly to your Captain Peach build, but with more of an emphasis on Passing (not the "least useful" stat, that honor belongs to Strength, especially outside the Captain role), so you can reliably keep your momentum from winning your face-offs, by either setting up a Combo with Peach, or a Charge with Mario. You cut the cheese in favor of consistency. Mario keeps the pressure on their Boom Boom high, taking key shots whenever fed the ball. Peach leverages her Speed and Technique to do literally anything that needs being done (highkey the best character in Battle League; any team without her is at an inherent disadvantage). Do I even need to specify what Waluigi does at this point? He gets the ball out of enemy possession and into the rest of your team's, with team tackles and/or simply running it over to a teammate (to compensate for his low Passing).
Strength is goood outside the captain position imo. Passing is not a bad stat but it’s the least useful to have at high values like 17-25 Reason being is that at 14 that’s the point where free passing is 100% accurate and has a good range. So having over 17 in my opinion is not Worth having over other stats.
Strength and Passing are both not bad to have but not as good as the other stats for any given role. I just value Strength less since the entire stat is obsoleted by Perfect Tackles.
You don't charge a perfect pass at all tho? You can only do a perfect combo pass if you hit the pass button within a certain window defined by your Technique. The initial pass still benefits from high Passing (which is what Toad has going for him in the Captain slot in particular).
