Thank you, excited you are going for the build! I recently converted one of mine into a mobile base with workbenches and chests, etc... I would imagine the weight would be similar to what you're doing and it did help to add extra balloons in each of the four engines. I think theres room to add 2 more in each and still leave leave enough room for the rear engines to have a small two node offset for the balloons (mentioned in the video). I didn't have to add any extra thrusters, nor use the counterweight thrusters on the vehicle bay in my case but they are there if you need them. Good luck!

Hey man, so glad you decided to try and build it! Is it leaning forward with no load? If that’s the case, it’s possible it’s balloons placement.. if you do have a load, you might need to enable some of the counterweight small thrusters. Otherwise those should be off.

@@generalronimus truly your builds are excellent and yes with no load, then I actually tried seeing if I could place some chests, chairs and beds to counter balance it made no change so I shall take a look at the balloon placement and as for the smaller thrusters I left them all off as you stated in the video unless I had unstable load of course but I never tried to mess around with those will try them too sorry for a such a long reply also I didn’t get a chance to say previously I will have to download discord

Thanks man so glad you gave it a try! For vehicles glitches, best thing is to log out of the game (everyone if you have multiple players, so the server resets) and then re-enter and hopefully it clears up 🤞🏾

Wow thanks for letting me know you took the time to build it! Really glad you tried it, sorry to hear it gave you some trouble on landing though.. did you end up adding the frostpine lining on the engines? (from the customization section) I had a lot of similar issues before adding those, just curious 🍻

Going to try again but in sandbox to "armour up" the wing pods, i sorted my control pad (i use an xbox one pad on pc) where i changed the steering thrusters to the shoulder buttons to make it easier to steer

Lemme know how it goes! As time as passed, I’ve thought more and more about ditching those vehicle bumpers/foundations and using more frostpine in future builds.

@@generalronimus yeah I did a small flyer that used frostpine thin 3 for the "neck" can quite happily rag it around, I rebuilt your transport with the added frostpine and so far no problems, it seems a little back heavy and will end up vertical if I just use the upward thrusters, but I am experimenting with additional thrusters

Glad to hear the extra protection worked for you! In addition to playing with the thrusters for balance you could also play with the balloon positioning to some degree since the engines have a little extra space in there

Cool idea! Never tried one of those before.. I’d imagine you’d want to build the base first and build it really wide with the balloons near the outside edge so adding buildings to the middle doesn’t affect the weight distribution too much. Good luck!

@@generalronimus thanks! I had started to build homes around the edges of the base, but if I’m able to, I can make a carrier like this an lift it with a huge supply of balloons on the edges, and the top. Thank you, man!

Hey! I recommend the ancient flooring over others because of its durability. Good chance stone or wood flooring will break on impact with trees or by vehicles loading in

In stage three, each engine has one ancient floor 2 and four ancient floor 3. I hope this answers your question!

If you load up something heavy like a Hauler and it's making the ship lean, you can use those small thrusters to even it out

Funny you ask, I already converted one of these transports into one actually 😂 I will share a video of it maybe this weekend!

It shows you what button it is for your platform next to the other driving buttons on the hud. For me I think it was pressing the R stick down. Really convenient feature!

That's some weird behavior! If your Vehicle Transport is built like the video, it should rest on the ground, even at the lowest altitude.. I flew and landed it in the shore biome multiple times. If it's not and its just floating in the air with no load, I think some sort of physics bug might be at play which still wouldn't surprise me despite Epic's bug fixing efforts. Have you already tried logging out and back in to see if its still floating?

Haven’t tried it yet, however I will do when I get the chance. I built it properly as It was working before but stopped after loading a vehicle. Will probably just build it again to save the hustle but thanks for the time on replying back. :)

@@xtigerx_2269 sure thing man, means a lot to know you spent the time to build it, so I really hope it works for you in the end. In the last two updates, I feel like Epic has finally made some gains on the vehicle bugs in this game, fingers crossed they keep moving in the right direction. I personally haven't had any issues with vehicles in the past month playing solo, but I do still experience some odd physics behavior when I play with the game with other's cross platform, fwiw.

Yes **technically** **A** troop transport fit in there for the video, but it wasn’t the one from the troop transport tutorial so don’t try it 🤣

I wouldn’t recommend it, I think vehicles, terrain etc would likely break floors made of plain wood

It’s possible yes, if you’re transporting a vehicle any meaningful distance I recommend using the large fenders to box it in. Just be sure the fender doesn’t touch the vehicle itself.. you don’t want it to attach otherwise any balloons, thrusters or wheels break off. I’ve found this to be the case in any situation involving vehicle bricks, transporter aside. Hope this helps!

Detonate and save that frostpine and flex wood 😂 Issues during build or during use?

Myself and others have noticed that the three, true dynamic foundations don’t stick to the top of the carjack… they don’t stick to the top of anything actually. But other pieces *should* stick to the carjack. When you say base, do you mean the frost pine flooring for this build or dynamic foundations?
