How to build your own turbo crossover tube with parts from Summit Racing!!!

In this video I cover how I made my own crossover turbo tube. Im using the Hooker drivers side manifold and the Summit Racing Pro LS turbo manifold for the passenger side. All parts were bought from Summit. This is an option for those of us who don’t have the option of building one from scratch.

I would keep an eye on that flex pipe. I heard they crack. I removed the one that was on my crossover.

Yeah, I read the pros/cons on this one and the other braid flex one. I’ll keep that flex section open and not wrap it so i can keep an eye on it. I just wnna get it tuned and running good and if it cracks/when it cracks ill get a small section welded on it.

Yeah it’s definitely going to crack, too much of a angle at least from what I see @9:12 looks like one of the pipes are to long

@@jakechimiak9626I did have to go back and cut an extra inch off the hooker crossover tube side to remove that bend. It’s straight now. But who knows how long that bellow will last. Time will tell.

A little fyi Beware of using galvanized steel. You should burn the galvanized off before using/welding. And do it outside. Perhaps you can get away burning off 3-4 from the end being welded, but will need to glow it off the entire piece outside after that.

Probably, but the crossover tube and my cold side are temporary until the car is dialed in. Once the tune is on point, I’ll drive it to someone who can redo some stuff. For now it’ll have to get me by.
